In recent years,health literacy has attracted extensive attention of researchers,governments and WHO,and has become a hot issue.The research on health literacy in our country started relatively late,but it developed very fast.China's first nationwide survey of health literacy of residents was carried out at the national level in 2008,Since 2012,a nationwide monitoring was implemented every year,and "National Health Literacy Promotion Action Plan" was set up.Affected by this,researchers carried on health literacy research work on people of a various range of age from different viewpoints and strive to improve the quality of health literacy of the people.Objective: Taking students from Tangshan Vocational and Technical College as the research object,through a questionnaire survey and data analysis,we tried to understand the students' health literacy level and provide data for the study of China's health literacy;Through analysis of factors affecting the health literacy level,we tried to provide the basis for health education and health promotion strategies;By studying the research methods to improve the level of health literacy,we tried to Offer a proposal for "Health China 2030 Plan "Methods: We adopted “the Questionnaire of Chinese Residents' Health Literacy in 2015”to investigate,and we adjusted the social demographic characteristics according to the characteristics of Higher Vocational students.Stratified cluster sampling was adopted in the survey.In each grade of each major,cluster sampling was conducted in class.By using Epi Data3.0 software,we built the database,By using SPSS18.0 software,we statistically analyzed the students' health literacy as well as three dimensions,six kinds of problems.Enumeration data were described by frequency and rate,and chi square test was performed.The measurement data is described by mean + standard deviation,and t test or variance analysis is used.The influencing factors of health literacy were analyzed by multi factor Logistic regression.Results: According to the evaluation standard---? 80 points is the health literacy standard,the rate of vocational college students investigated who has health literacy is 13.8% with the average score of 66.37 ± 13.79.In the three dimensions,the healthy lifestyle and behavior accounted for 27.4%,which takes the highest rate;the basic health knowledge and concepts accounted for 6%,which takes the lowest rate.In the six types of health problems,the safety and first-aid literacy accounted for 65.3,%,which takes the highest rate;It is followed by the scientific concept of health whose rate is 40.7%;the basic medical literacy rate was the lowest,with only 10.6%.Students' basic knowledge about diabetes,maternal and child health care,hepatitis B,tuberculosis and other basic is in a low passing rate,So is for the common sense behavior habits such as the correct treatment methods when cough and sneeze occur.Where the students come from,the specialty they are majoring in,and the academic degree of the father's education are the factors that influence the level of health literacy.Conclusion: 1.The health literacy level of the students in higher vocational colleges is relatively low compared with those of similar colleges and universities in other parts of China.2.The three dimensions of health literacy of higher vocational college students are all low.3.The level of health literacy of students in higher vocational colleges is related to the origin,major and father's education.4.The health education of higher vocational students should be strengthened so as to improve their awareness of health literacy.
