Objective:The impact of pinch tube training on the recovery of urethral function after extubation in patients with short-term indwelling catheters was evaluated. Methods:The Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI),Cochrane Library,Public Medline(PubMed),Ovid Technologies(OVID),Science Citation Index Database of Science, the Excerpta Medica Database(EMBASE),the Medline, the Database of Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(CENTRAL),the EBSCO family of global databases,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP and Wan Fang Data databases were searched in the database of Chinese Biomedical Literature(CBM),Chinese patients with short-term indwelling catheter Closure of catheter before extubation for functional exercise in a randomized controlled trial, the time limit is the database start time until September 1,2017.Two panelists conducted a meta-analysis of the included articles using RevMan5.2 after screening, documenting and evaluating the quality of the articles based on pre-established criteria. Results:A total of 13 articles were included in the study. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the first time of urination(WMD=5.02,95%CI:-19.47 to(OR=0.83,95%CI:0.46-1.50,p=0.53),urinary tract infection(OR=0.68,95%CI:0.41-1.12,p= There was no statistical significance in urinary retention(OR=1.42,95%CI:0.58-3.44,p=0.44).Conclusions:Pinch-tube training has no effect on the recovery of urethral function after exudation of short-term indwelling catheter, pending further clinical studies of high quality, large sample and multicenter studies.
