The Clinical Research Of Yiyuan Moxibustion On Neurogenic Bladder Urinary Retention After Spinal Cord Injury

Objective: Through the Yiyuan moxibustion treatment in patients with neurogenic bladder urinary retention after spinal cord injury,observed the effects before and after the treatment,to determine the effective and safety of Yiyuan moxibustion,and further explore the possible mechanism,to provide definitive evidence for clinical practice and effective treatment of neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury provides the basis for urinary retention,improving clinical symptoms of NB patients with urinary retention after SCI,to improve the quality of life of patients.Methods: According to random number table method,62 patients conforms to the standard of urinary retention with NB after SCI were randomly divided into two groups,each group was 31 cases.Both groups were treated wit h intermittent catheterization,patients in the treatment group were also treated with Yiyuan moxibustion therapy,the total treatment course was 5 weeks.Before and after treatment,use bladder residual urine,maximum bladder capacity,bladder pressure and quality of life index as the evaluation index,and analyzed the results with statistical methods.Results: 62 patients,except 1 patient in the control group did not complete the study for some family reasons,the other 61 patients completed the study according to the plan.The patients of two groups with age,sex,course of disease and degree of injury were statistically compared(P>0.05),they are comparable.The bladder residual urine,maximum bladder capacity,bladder pressure and quality of life index of two groups were statistically compared before treatment(P>0.05),which shows no significant difference,and they are comparable.After 5 weeks of treatment,these indexes of two groups were statistically difference after treatment(P<0.05),and the comparison between the two groups after the treatment were statistically difference(P<0.05),it means the treatment group was better than the control group,which proves that Yiyuan moxibustion combined with intermittent catheterization can significantly reduce residual urine,improve the compliance of bladder and the patient's quality of life.Conclusions: Yiyuan moxibustion combined with intermittent catheterizetion can effectively improve the urinary retention of NB patients after SCI,can reduce residual urine,improve the compliance of bladder,establish the balance state of bladder,strengthen the self-confidence of patients and improve the quality of life of NB patients after SCI.The therapy of Yiyuan moxibustion is a simple and safe operation,it costs less and is simple to operate,it has a better rehabilitation effect than single intervention and it is worth to popularize in clinical application.
