Investigation And Intervention Study On Illness Uncertainty In Parents Of Children With Cerebral Palsy

Objectives:1.Describe the level of illness uncertainty in parents of children with cerebral palsy,to analyze the influencing factors of children with cerebral palsy.2.Analyze and discuss the effect of group counseling on children with cerebral palsy.Methods:From Sep.2015 to Feb.2016 in the children’s Hospital in Zhengzhou for rehabilitation of children with cerebral were the parents of 169 cases as the research object,The survey tools including general information questionnaire,Mishel uncertainty in illness parents scale,social support scale,coping style scale.On the basis of the questionnaire survey,122 cases of parents of children with selected scores greater than the highest points 50% of the intervention process as the research object,randomly divided into control group 61 and 61 in the intervention group.The control group was given routine nursing,the intervention group in the control group based on routine nursing by group counseling,the general information questionnaire,Mishel uncertainty in illness parents scale,social support scale,simple coping style scale before and after the intervention of parents of children with the disease uncertainty and related factors change.Statistical analysis input by SPSS17.0 software.Results:1.The score of illness uncertainty in parents of children with cerebral palsy was in a higher level,average score was(83.70±10.44).The scores of illness uncertainty especially for the gender,different educational level,family income per capita,and the age of the children were different.2.The uncertainty of the disease was negatively related to social support(r=-0.229,P<0.01).The complexity dimension of the uncertainty of the disease was negatively related to the positive coping style(r=-0.181,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that influencing factors of the average monthly family income,parents of children with gender,social support(R2=0.243),jointly explained variation of uncertainty in illness 24.3%.3.Before the intervention,the intervention group and the control group in the social support,coping style,disease uncertainty,no statistically significant differences between the scores on the group counseling,compared with the control group,the intervention group of patients with the total score of social support for(38.02±5.38),divided into positive coping(1.83 ± 0.45),and the difference was higher than that of control group a statistically significant uncertainty score was(71.53 ±12.63),lower than that of the control group and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.The Illness uncertainty in parents of children with cerebral palsy is at a high level,the influence of parents of children with disease uncertainty in parents of children with gender sense of general information,record of formal schooling,family income per month,children,clinical nursing should timely assessment of small age children,parents educational level is relatively low,low income mothers of children with the disease uncertainty.2.Group counseling can improve the social support and coping,reduce of parents of children with uncertainty in illness.
