| Purpose:In this study,we investigated the clinical efficacy of polymer infiltrated-ceramic Vita Enamic onlays after one year repair,and analyzed the reasons for failure of Vita Enamic prosthesis.It provides a theoretical basis for the selection of polymer infiltrated-ceramic onlay after clinical root canal therapy.Method:From March 2016 to December 2016,the patients with dental pulpitis or root apicitis,who were diagnosed in VIP department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University,had no discomfort after complete root canal treatment,which met the adaptation of onlay restoration.After the patient's informed consent,50 Vita Enamic onlay restoration was completed.After 6 months or 12 months restoration of dental defects,the clinical effects of polymer infiltrated ceramic Vita Enamic restorations were evaluated in four aspects,including the integrity of the prosthesis,the tightness of the edge of the prosthesis,the adjacency relationship and the periodontal health of the restorations,referring to the modified United Sates Public Health Service(USPHS)criteria.Result:In the six month and one year follow-up period,50 polymer infiltrated ceramic Vita Enamic onlays were reviewed.The integrity of the restorations reached A level were 98% and96% respectively.The tightness of the edge of the prosthesis reached A level were both100%.The adjacent relationship reached A level were both 98%.The periodontal health of the restorations reached A level were both 98%.The integrity of the prosthesis,the density of the edge of the prosthesis,the adjacency relationship and the periodontal health of the restorations werenot statisticallysignificant(P>0.05),that is,the performanceof theprosthesis was stable.Conclusion:1.Polymer infiltrated-ceramic Vita Enamic onlays have good clinical effect in restoration of endodontically treated posterior teeth.2.Porcelain fracture is the main reason for failure of polymer infiltrated-ceramic Vita Enamic onlay. |
