Objective To compare the general data of patients between type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with cerebral ischemic stroke group and non-stroke group. To observe the changes of blood platelet four parameters, analyze its relationship with stroke, and to explore its significance as a predictor of stroke index. Methods 92 patients with T2DM were selected as the experimental group,128 patients with single T2DM as the control group.Compared the general clinical data and blood platelet four parameters, the independent risk factors of T2DM patients with ischemic stroke were evaluated by multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The age, course of disease, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, glycated hemoglobin, mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW)and large platelet ratio(P-LCR)had obviously difference between the two groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).But the platelet count(PLT)had no evident difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The P-LCR had obviously positive correlation with MPV and PDW(r=0.24,P<0.01;r?0.19,P<0.01).The result of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that course of disease, glycated hemoglobin,P-LCR,and PDW were the independent risk factors for T2DM patients with cerebral ischemic stroke(OR=1.867,1.483,1.115,3.52).Conclusions The P-LCR and PDW were significantly increased in patients with T2DM.They can be used as an independent risk factor for diagnosis the T2DM patients with ischemic stroke.
