| Objective:To introduce the Mental Health Service and Development Model of BasicNeeds,and evaluate the intervention effect for the patients with mental disorders in rural areas of China caused by the "Sustainable Livelihoods" activities of BasicNeeds Model and analyze its cost-benefit in the perspective of Health Economics;to explore the intervention model of "Sustainable Livelihoods" activities for the patients with mental disorders in rural areas of China and to promote it in the whole China.Methods:35 patients with mental disorders were selected as the intervention group,which met the inclusion criteria and volunteered to join the Self Help Group;35 patients with mental disorders matched for sex and age with the intervention group were selected as control group.The study group was given "Sustainable Livelihoods" intervention,while the control group received no intervention.The intervention effect of the two groups were evaluated at baseline and at the end of twelfth months,and the cost-effectiveness ratios of the two interventions were compared.Results:1.Effects: After 12 months of intervention,patients in the intervention group than in the control group,the function of general disability level,health status and family burden were achieved good results.2.Cost benefit: The control group cost benefit ratio is 2.683,the intervention group benefit cost ratio is 0.605,compared with the control group,the cost advantage of the intervention group which got "Sustainable Livelihoods" intervention was obvious,and the stability was better.Conclusion:"Sustainable Livelihoods" activities of BasicNeeds Model compared with the routine treatment,and rehabilitation treatment,not only the treatment and rehabilitation effect is better,and achieve good economic benefits,cost-effective advantage is obvious,patients with mental disorders in rural areas is an important way of treatment and rehabilitation,worthy of further promotion and application. |
