Aims:To investigate the situation of anxiety, depression and hypertension of residents in Tianjin, and to investigate the association between anxiety, depression and hypertension. Methods:Using stratified random sampling,we investigate 2565 residents who were more than18 years old in Tianjin during April 2015 to September 2015.Sex,age,residence,smoking hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia were investigated;height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, glucose, serum lipid, glycosylated hemoglobin and serum uric acid were tested.Anxiety and depression were assessed by using self-rating anxiety or depression scale.Grouped according to anxiety or depression or hypertension, count data using the percentage(%)said,by chi square test for comparison of categorical data between groups;measurement data analysis is in line with the normal distribution,if accord with the normal distribution with meanąstandard deviation said, among groups were compared with t-test;if they do not conform to the normal distribution, then using the median and interquartile range said, using Mann Whitney U test.Using Logistic regression to analysis association between risk factors and hypertension.Using linear regression to analysis correlation between anxious or depressive score and blood pressure. All of the data were processed by using statistical software SPSS 21.0.Results:1.Basic data comparison showed that age, sex, residence, waist circumference,BMI,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,FPG,2h-PG,UA,Hb A1 c,SBP,DBP and smoking in normotensive group were significantly different from those in hypertensive group(P<0.05).Age,sex,residence,TC,LDL-C,FPG,UA,Hb A1 c,depressive score and depression diagnosis in non-anxious group were significantly different from those in anxious group(P<0.05).Anxious score and anxious diagnosis in non-depressive group were significantly different from those in depressive group(P<0.05).2.Logistic regression analysis revealed that in the general population anxiety and major depression were associated with hypertension(anxiety: OR=1.02,P =0.02;major depression: OR=8.39,P =0.01).In male population, depression and major depression were associated with hypertension(depression: OR=1.02,P=0.02;major depression: OR=11.22,P=0.04);in female population, anxiety and major anxiety ere associated with hypertension(anxiety: OR=1.02,P =0.02;major anxiety:OR=4.83,P =4.83).In 18~29 year-old group, anxiety, moderate anxiety, depression and moderate depression were associated with hypertension(anxiety: OR=1.05,P=0.02;moderate anxiety: OR=10.41,P=0.02;depression: OR=1.04,P =0.03;moderate depression: OR=5.02,P =0.04).In urban population, anxiety and major depression were associated with hypertension(anxiety: OR=1.02,P =0.03;major depression: OR=9.77,P=0.01);in rural population, depression and major depression were associated with hypertension(depression: OR=1.01,P =0.15;major depression:OR=9.77,P =0.01).3.Linear regression analysis showed that in general population depressive score is negatively correlated with SBP,and anxious score is positively correlated with DBP.In female population, anxious score is positively correlated with both SBP and DBP,and depressive score is negatively correlated with SBP.Both anxious and depressive score is positively correlated with DBP in 18~29 year-old population;anxious score is positively correlated with DBP in 50~59 year-old population;depressive score is negatively correlated with both SBP and DBP in 60~69 year-old population;depressive is negatively correlated with SBP in more than 70 year-old population.Conclusion:1.Anxiety and depression are both correlated with hypertension.2.Anxious and depressive score are both correlated with blood pressure.
