Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS)and hypertension often co-occur and are an important cause of secondary hypertension. There is also a link between psychological factors and cardiovascular disease. This study investigated the anxiety and depression symptoms and general living conditions of hypertension patients with OSAS by investigating the occurrence of anxiety and depression in hypertension patients with OSAS,and further analyzed the influencing factors of anxiety and depression symptoms in patients with hypertension. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study. All patients with hypertension were monitored for polysomnography. In patients with hypertension and OSAS,according to the scores of the anxiety and depression self-rating scale of the patients, the subjects were grouped and compared according to the presence or absence of anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms, and the differences were analyzed. Results: A total of 175 patients with hypertension and OSAS were included in this study. The prevalence of anxiety and depression in this population was 22% and 14%,respectively.The results of multivariate analysis of anxiety symptoms in patients with hypertension and OSAS showed that the lowest blood oxygen saturation at night may be a protective factor for anxiety symptoms,OR = 0.375,OR 95%CI(0.146-0.917).Multivariate analysis of depressive symptoms showed that the lowest blood oxygen saturation at night may be a protective factor for depressive symptoms,OR= 0.028,OR 95% CI(0.085-0.872).Age may be a risk factor for depressive symptoms.OR = 34.959,OR 95% CI(1.241-1394.833).Conclusion: The prevalence of anxiety and depression in patients with hypertension and OSAS in this study was 22% and 14%,respectively.Nocturnal minimum blood oxygen saturation may be a protective factor affecting the symptoms of anxiety and depression in patients with hypertension and OSAS.Age may be a risk factor for depressive symptoms in patients with hypertension and OSAS.
