Objective:To investigate the relationship between interleukin-1?(IL-1?),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)in serum and cerebrospinal fluid and seizures in the acute phase of viral encephalitis.Methods:1.Research object30 cases of inpatients with viral encephalitis were collected in the department of neurology of the first Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from March 2016 to January 2017.The patients were divided into two groups according to whether having a seizure or not: Group A: patients with acute viral encephalitis abanced by seizure;Group B: patients with acute viral encephalitis non-abanced by seizure. At the same time,10 patients with non-viral encephalitis seizure and 10 patients with spinal cord anesthesia and exclusion of infection and inflammation were selected as the control group.2.Specimen collection After the consent of patients or their families, the blood and cerebrospinal fluid of each group were collected, and 3000 rpm was centrifuged for 10 minutes, the supernantant was extracted in 1.5ml of EP tube, and the separated samples were placed in a refrigerator at-80 ? Frozen reserve. The frozen samples were thawed in a refrigerator at4 ° C the day before the experiment and 30 minutes before the experiment.3.Consentration detection of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in Serum and cerebrospinal fluid The levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in serum and cerebrospinal fluid were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).4.Data processing Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS19.0 statistical software. All data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation((?) ± s).The data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA.LSD was used between groups.P <0.05 was statistically significant.Results:1.Serum IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? levels in each group Compared with the control group, the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in group A and B were significantly higher than those in control group(P <0.05).The level of IL-1?in serum of group C was slightly higher than that of control group(P> 0.05),but the level of IL-6 and TNF-? in group C was slightly lower than that in control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).Compared with group C,the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in group A and group B were significantly higher than those in group C(P <0.05).Compared with group A,the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in group B were significantly higher than those in group A(P <0.05),suggesting that serum IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? levels are associated with acute seizures.2.Comparison of levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid of each group Compared with the control group, the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid of group A and B were significantly higher than those in control group(P <0.05);The level of IL-6 in cerebrospinal fluid of group C was slightly higher than that of control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05),but the levels of IL-1? and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid of group C were slightly lower than those in control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Compared with group C,the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid of group A and B were significantly higher than those in group C(P <0.05).Compared with group A,the levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid of group B were significantly higher than those in group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? levels are associated with acute seizures.Conclusion:1.The levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in serum in acute stage of viral encephalitis with seizures were significantly higher than those in patients with viral encephalitis without acute seizures, suggesting that the onset of epilepsy in the acute phase of viral encephalitis isassociated wite elevated levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in serum.2.The levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid in acute stage of viral encephalitis were significantly higher than those in patients with viral encephalitis without acute seizures, suggesting that the onset of epilepsy in the acute phase of viral encephalitis isassociated wite elevated levels of IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? in cerebrospinal fluid.
