Objective:To observe the effect of electro-acupuncture on"Zusanli"and"Shangjuxu" about the recovery of gastrointestinal function after colorectal cancer operation and sum up the advantage of electro-acupuncture treatment.Methods:90patients with colorectal cancer cases were included in the standard, they were randomly divided into control group I-. control group II and experimental group. After the operation, the control group I used both the normal processing and acupuncture therapeutic intervention after postoperative24hours, while the control group II only adopted normal processing, and the experimental group used both the normal processing and the electric acupuncture intervention treatment which continued for five days after postoperative24hours. Observing the recovery of bowel sounds after the operation, the first anal exhaust time and defecation time, the patients’s condition of abdominal pain> abdominal distension and gastrointestinal reaction (after the operation of the1、3、5days).Results:the postoperative bowel sound recovery time, the first anal exhaust time and defecation time in experimental group were significantly shorter than control group I and control group II, and there were differences in statistics (P0.05); and control group I was shorter than control group II,there was statistically differences between the two groups (P<0.05).Postoperative abdominal pain, abdominal distention and gastrointestinal reaction reaction score comparison:before electric acupuncture intervention and acupuncture intervention (the first postoperative day),there was no statistically significant difference among groups (P>0.05). the third and fifth postoperative day, difference among groups was statistically significant (P<0.05),The experimental group scores were better than the control group I, group II,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), the control group I scores were better than the control group II comparison, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Comparison of general effects:the experimental group was better than the control group I, group II, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), control group I was better than the control group II, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:the electric acupuncture on "Zusanli"and"Shangjuxu"can effectively promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery for colorectal cancer, and can improve the condition of the patients’ postoperative abdominal pain abdominal distension and gastrointestinal reaction and so on.
