Objective: To know the basic situation of atmospheric pollution in Zhangjiakou city during 2013-2015,and to evaluate the relationship between the concentration of air pollutants(PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2,NO2,O3)and daily hospital admissions for COPD.Materials and methods:We collected the data of daily average concentration of air pollutants(PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2,NO2,O3),daily meteorological factors and daily hospital admissions for COPD from 1st Jan.2013 to 31 th Dec.2015 in Zhangjiakou City, then conducted the generalized additive model with Poisson distribution in order to adjust for the effects of long-term trend, weather conditions and weekday's effect and to analyze the effects of air pollutants on residents hospital admissions for COPD.Results:1 The average annual concentration of PM2.5 from 2013 to 2015 in Zhang jiakou city were?35.54±22.34??g/m3,?34.9±39.08??g/m3,?34.04±20.45??g/m3,respectively;The average annual concentration of PM10 were?86.57±53.49??g/m3,?77.47±70.28??g/m3,?77.66±52.12??g/m3;The average annual concentration of COwere?0.77±0.33?mg/m3,?1.07±0.59?mg/m3,?0.8±0.47?mg/m3;The average annual concentration of NO2 were?27.89±11.64??g/m3,?28.61±14.64??g/m3,?26.4±14.12??g/m3;The average annual concentration of SO2were?38.71±27.03??g/m3,?53.1±38.55??g/m3,?31.38±20.93??g/m3;The average annual concentration ofO3 were?109.1±46.33??g/m3,?84.12±37.09??g/m3,?97.15±44.84??g/m3.2 In the single pollution model with lagging effect,After controlling for long-term trends, temperature and humidity,The greatest effect of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2 were found in the lag of 0 days?lag0?,each 10 ?g/m3 increased of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2,the daily COPD admission ratewere increased by 1.7%?95%CI : 0.6%2.8%?,1%?95%CI : 0.5%1.5%?,0.14%?95%CI:0.07%0.21%?,2.6%?95%CI:1.4%3.9%?and 6.4%?95%CI:3.7%9.2%?,respectively.The greatest effect of O3 was found in the lag of 5days?lag5?,each 10 ?g/m3 increased ofO3,the daily COPD admission rate was increased by 1.2%?95%CI:0.2%2.2%?.3 In the single pollution model with accumulative effect,After controlling for long-term trends, temperature and humidity,The greatest effect of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2 were found in the accumulative lag of 7 days?avg7?,each 10 ?g/m3 increased of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2,the daily COPD admission rate were increased by 2.3%?95%CI:0.6%4.1%?,1.9%?95%CI:1%2.7%?,0.2%?95%CI:0.1%0.3%?,4.6%?95%CI:2.7%6.6%?and 10.2%?95%CI:5.9%14.7%?,respectively.The greatest effect of O3 was found in the accumulative lag of 5 days?avg5?,each 10 ?g/m3 increased ofO3,the daily COPD admission rate was increased by 0.8%?95%CI:-0.6%2.2%?,but no statistical significance.4 In the double pollution model with lagging effect,Only found that the effect of PM2.5 on the daily number of COPD admissions in the control of the impact of O3 has statistical significance?P<0.05?,the daily COPD admission rate was increased by 1.7%?95%CI:0.6%2.9%?.the effects of PM10 on the daily number of COPD admissions in the control of the impact of PM2.5,SO2,O3 have statistical significance?P<0.05?,the daily COPD admission rate were increased by 1.02%?95%CI:0.03%2.01%?,1 %?95%CI:0.5%1.5%?,0.06 %?95%CI:0%1.3%?,respectively.5 In the double pollution model with accumulative effect,Only found that the effect of PM2.5 on the daily number of COPD admissions in the control of the impact of O3 has statistical significance?P<0.05?,the daily COPD admission rate was increased by 2.3%?95%CI:0.6%4.1%?.The effects of PM10 on the daily number of COPD admissions in the control of the impact of PM2.5,SO2,O3 have statistical significance?P<0.05?,the daily COPD admission rate were increased by 2.8%?95%CI:1.1%4.6%?,1.9 %?95%CI:1%2.8%?,1.3 %?95%CI:0.2%2.4%?,respectively.Conclusion:1 The annual average concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 in 2013-2015 in Zhangjiakou city were close to or higher than the national average annual concentration of secondary standards, were serious pollution. While the annual average annual concentration of CO,SO2,NO2 and O3 were in the line with the secondary standards, were low levels of pollution.2 The study found that there were statistical association between PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2,NO2,O3 and daily COPD admission in lagging effect model,Moreover,The greatest effect of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2 were found in the lag of 0 days?lag0?,While the greatest effect of O3 was found in the lag of5 days?lag5?.3 The study found that there were statistical association between PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2,NO2 and daily COPD admission in accumulative effect model,Moreover,The greatest effect of PM2.5,PM10,CO,SO2 and NO2 were found in the lag of 7 days?avg7?.
