The Effect Observation Of Tiaodu Tongluo-Acupuncture Manipulation For Treating Primary Headache

Objective: Study the clinical efficacy of Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation for treating primary headaches.Compare the effectiveness of Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation and conventional acupuncture in treating primary headache.To optimize the acupuncture treatment of primary headache.Methods: Use the Randomized Controlled Trial(RCT)method for the analysis where 80 primary headache patients,who were up to a required standard,were randomly divided into two groups each including 40 patients.The Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation was applied to the observation group: Firstly,sequencely acupuncture the Baihui and the Dazhui of du meridian.After arrival of qi,pull out the needle without retaining in the patient's body.Secondly,according to the result of palpation use the Heguacupuncture needle Myofascial pain points which are located at the patient's head and neck.The needle does not retain,either.And then,acupuncture the Zi-Wu-Liu-Zhu acupoints.Lastly,use the experience points for the treatment of headache: Select the Fengchi and the Qiuxu for curing the tempus pain,the Cuanzhu and the Jiexi for the forehead pain,the Tianzhu and the Kunlun for the occipital pain,and the Baihui and the Yongquan for the vertex pain,respectively.The acupuncture starts from the lower limbs acupuncture point to the end of the head acupuncture point.Zi-Wu-Liu-Zhu and experience points for the treatment of headache need retaining needle for 30 minutes after arrival of qi.The treatment was given one times for one day,and the treatment lasted for 5 times all in all.The control group used conventional acupuncture treatment which is recorded in the eighth edition of "Chinese medicine textbook".According to the symptoms,headaches are divided into 4 types,namely,the kidneydeficiency headache,the phlegm evil headache,the liver Yang headache,and the blood stasis headache.Use Baihui?Tinggong?Guanyuan?Qihai?Shenshu and Taixi to cure the kidney deficiency headache,reinforcing all of these acupoint;Use Baihui?Yintang?Zhongwan and Fenglong to cure the phlegm evil headache,reducing all of these acupoint;Use Xuanlu?Hanyan?Neiguan?Taichong and Taixi to cure the liver Yang headache,reducing Taichong,reinforcing Taixi,reinforcing and reducing in combination of the other acupoints;Use Ashi?Hegu and Sanyinjiao to cure the blood stasis headache,reducing Ashi,reinforcing Hegu and Sanyinjiao.Use twirling reinforcing or reducing method for 1 minute after the arrival of qi,retaining needle for 30 minutes.The treatment was also given 1 times a day,and also lasted 5 times all in all.Use the VAS method to evaluate respectively the headache degree of two groups' patients before and after the first time treatment,also before and after5 times treatment.Record the number of patients who get headache disappear entirely in the first time treatment.Comparison and statistical analysis was carried out on the above data,from which the observation was concluded.Results:After the first time treatment,the headache VAS scores of two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The VAS scores of observation group decreased by 3.42±2.36.The VAS scores of control group decreased by 2.25±1.56.And the results of statistical analysis showed that the compared reduction of VAS scores was significant between the two groups(P<0.05).In observation group,there were 10(25%)cases who got headache disappear entirely in the first time treatment.And there were 3(7.5%)cases who got headache disappear entirely in control group.There were significantly differences by statistics analysis(?2=4.5006,P < 0.05).Statistics analysis showed significantly differences(?2=4.5006,P<0.05).The total effective rate of observation group was 77.5% after the first treatment.The total effective rate of control group was 62.5% after the first treatment.Based on the first time treatment,the statistical analysis showedthat there wasn't significant difference between two groups(?2=2.1429,P>0.05)with regard to effective rate.After 5 times treatment,the headache VAS scores of two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The VAS scores of observation group decreased by 4.48±2.37.The VAS scores of control group decreased by 3.41±2.37.And the results of statistical analysis showed that the compared reduction of VAS scores was significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05).After 5 times treatment,the total effective rate of observation group was82.5%.The total effective rate of control group was 72.5%.And the results of statistical analysis showed that no obvious difference was found between two groups with respect to the effective rate(?2=1.1470,P>0.05).Conclusioin: Both Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation and conventional acupuncture treatment have a good relieving primary headache effect immediately.But Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation is superior to conventional acupuncture treatment in terms of relieving headache effect immediately.Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation is superior to conventional acupuncture treatment in terms of eliminate headache.After five times treatment,both Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation and conventional acupuncture treatment have a good relieving primary headache effect.But Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulation treatment of primary headache curative effect is obvious.Tiaodu Tongluo-acupuncture manipulationis superior to conventional acupuncture treatment in terms of ease headache.
