Objective: To study the ultrasonic image characteristics of male perineal musculoskeletal system of the normal adult and expound the high-frequency ultrasonic scanning method of male perineal musculoskeletal system of the normal adult. Methods: Using Toshiba Aplio 500 high-frequency ultrasonic instrument to scan the male perineal structure of the 30 normal and healthy adults with transversely, longitudinal and beveling scanning methods, the paper will record and describe the ultrasonic image of the male perineal muscles, bones, ligaments, blood vessels and nerves.Statistics analysis is performed by SPSS statistical analysis software, version 19.0.Firstly,cross-sectional area of bulb of urethra in the 30 normal male adults were measured as the variables. The variables need be measured three times and be calculated the mean value. These subjects were respectively grouped according to the age of 5 years, the height of 5 centimeters, the weight of 5 kilograms. The analysis of variance was carried out to examin for significance differences between different age groups, different height, different weight. Results:In this paper,we have acquired massive ultrasonic images of multiple sections of male perineal musculoskeletal system of the normal adult by regarding pubic symphysis, ischial tuberodties, tip of coccyx, anus and ligament anococcygeum as anatomic landmarks, specifically describing the concepts and sonographic features of deep perineal pouch, superficial perineal pouch, ischioanal fossa, pudendal canal and pudendal-thigh;expounding the adjacent relationships and sonographic characteristics of ani sphincter, anorectal ring, levator ani muscle, perineal central tendon, arcus tendineus levator ani, ischiocavernosus, bulbospongiosus, superficial transverse perineal muscle and deep transverse perineal muscle;enucleating the sonographic localization and sonographic characteristics of arteriae pudenda interna, anal artery, arteriae bulbi penis, deep artery of penis and pudendal nerve;explaining the starting point, dead point, arrangement and sonographic characteristics of ligament anococcygeum and arcuate pubic ligament.Statistical analysis showed that:there was no significant differences of cross-sectional area of bulb of urethra between different age groups, different height groups, different weight groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:High-frequency ultrasound can be used as the preferred method of imaging examination for the normal adult male perineal musculoskeletal system, which is worthy of vigorous clinical promotion.
