A Survey Of Recognize To Cancer Pain Related Therapy Among Physicians In Daxing District In Beijing

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate clinicians' understanding to relevant knowledge about cancer pain treatment and the legal regulation regarding opioids in DAXING district of BEJING.Methods: Totally 44 physicians,46 surgeons,28 oncologists and 54 general practitioners in DAXING district were involved in the questionnaire investigation.To investigate their degree of understanding on ‘Three-step Analgesic Ladder',‘opioids application',‘side effects treatment',‘relevant legal regulation'.Statistical analysis was conducted with the software SPSS 20 by Chi square tests,then made a comparison between different level of hospitals,different departments and different professional ranks and titles.Results: The result of survey shows that the proportion of the physicians who know well about the program of ‘Three-step Analgesic Ladder' was only 1.85% in primary hospital and 33.33% in tertiary hospital respectively,and the difference is had statistically significant(P<0.05);In terms of analgesic therapy,the proportion of the clinicians who used Pethidine analgesic therapy in primary hospital,second-class hospital and tertiary hospital was about 20.37%,4.92%,1.75% respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).As for the proportion of oncologist and non-oncologist who chose to used combined-anxiolytics antidepressants was 75% and 22.2%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);In the process of Analgesic therapy by using opioids,oncologist and non-oncologist both had some misgivings on it;The proportion of the clinicians in primary hospital,second-class hospital and tertiary hospital was about 39.30%,75.00%,37.79% respectively thought that there is no special file for cancer pain.Based on the result of survey,we've learned that some relevant departments of all levels of hospitals,and different clinicians' professional ranks and titles of understanding on relevant knowledge,legal regulations about Analgesic therapy to cancer patients was insufficient,especially for general practitioners and the others non-oncologists.Conclusion: 1?Clinicians in the primary,second and tertiary level hospital of DAXING district have different degree's cognition deficiency on relevant laws and regulations and standardized cancer pain treatment.The doctors who are in oncology and the toxic drug trained doctor are generally better than untrained doctors;general practitioners are poor in cancer pain treatment related knowledge,which urgently needs to be improved.2?In current,the cancer pain guidelines prohibit the use of pethidine in treating cancer pain,but some doctors in our region are still applying this medicine.3?The non-oncologists to “Three-step Analgesic Ladder” principle of cancer pain,the application of opioid drugs,the drug combination of cancer pain treatment and side effects of treatment,opioid management regulations is insufficient thoroughly.So,the non-oncologists need to strengthen their theoretical study and training.4?General practitioners will take more and more responsibility for cancer pain treatment,so they need to constantly update their theoretical knowledge,rational medication,standardized treatment of cancer pain treatment,so as to improve life quality of patients with cancer pain.5?With the gradually increase of tumor incidence rate,the goal of really achieving “let Chinese patients with cancer pain fell painless” still has a long way to go.
