The Clinical Research Of Allergic Rhinitis Among Children Who Were Asthenic-cold Of The Lung Qi And Were Treated By The Granule Of Biyantongqiao

Objective: By evaluating the clinical curative efficacy of allergic rhinitis among children who used the granule of biyantongqiao(a kind of formula in Chinese medicine used for allergic rhinitis),this subject will explore the suitable herbs and formulas in treating allergic rhinitis of children,and primarily provide objective evidences for treatment based on syndrome differentiation and clinical cure of Chinese medicine.Methods: 50 out-patient medical records were collected and divided at random into two groups called treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given the granule of biyantongqiao.The control group was given two kinds of western medicines.Firstly was the Loratadine Particles.The second medicine was Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets.Both the two groups used medicines for 2 weeks,afterwards the changes of symptoms and adverse reactions were observed and recorded.Results: Using the statistical analysis we can find that the treatments of both groups are effective.The cure rate of Chinese medicine group is 12%,the indicating efficiency rate is 52% and total efficiency rate is 96%;while the western medicine group is 4%,4% and 84%.The total efficiency rate of Chinese medicine is obviously higher than western medicine,suggesting the curative efficacy of Chinese medicine is better than western(p<0.01).Conclusion: The granule of biyantongqiao is the effective prescription to treat allergic rhinitis among children who are asthenia-cold of lung-qi and it is convenient without any side effects.
