The Research On Treating Damp-heat Type Perianal Eczema By Hip Bath With Shiyangning Recipe

Objective: To observe the effectiveness and safety as well as recurrence rate of treating damp-heat type perianal eczema by hip bath with Shiyangning recipe and to preliminary discuss the mechanism of how this recipe takes effect.Methods: The project adopted random and parallel control study. Random number table was produced by SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis software. 60 patients were divided into observation group(30 patients) and control group(30 patients). Patients in observation group were treated by Shiyangning recipe and by Pifukang recipe in control group. Patients were asked to hip bath after getting up and before sleeping.Ten minutes was recommended once time. When hip bath, Shidugao was used at the same time. We scored the diagnosis index containing pruritus degree, anus moist feeling,skin damage form and area score before and after treatment. Giving follow-up visit to the cure and excellent patients 3 months after treatment to observe the recurrence rate. All data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 and P<0.05 meant that the outcome had no statistical significance.Results:1.The observation group had 13 male patients and 17 female patients. The control group had 18 male patients and 12 female patients. Among the observation group, the age was from 18 to 70 years old, the mean age was 41.83 years old. Among the control group, the age was from 25 years old to 70 years old, the mean age was 45.43 years old. The disease course of observation group was from 0.1 month to 12 months,the average was 4.22 months. The disease course of control group was from 0.1 month to 18 months, the average was 4.48 months. There was no statistic difference between observation group and control group on gender, age, course of disease,pruritus degree, anus moist feeling, skin damage form and area score(P>0.05) and the two groups were compared.2.After 2 weeks treatment, there had statistical significance of observation group on pruritus degree, anus moist feeling, skin damage form and area score before and after treatment(P<0.05); there had statistical significance of control group on pruritus degree, anus moist feeling and no statistical significance on skin damage form and area score before and after treatment(P>0.05).3.After 2 weeks treatment, there had statistical significance between observation group and control group on pruritus degree and anus moist feeling(P<0.05). There had no statistical significance between two groups on skin damage form and area score(P>0.05).4.Patients cured and excellent were followed up after treatment for 3 months. There were 21 patients in observation group and 3 patients reappeared among them. The recurrence rate was 14.3%. There were 7 patients in control group and 3 patients reappeared. The recurrence rate was 42.8%.5.Statistical comparison: The effective rate of observation group was 96.7%,on the other hand, control group was 76.7%.Conclusion: Hip bath with Shiyangning recipe to treat the damp-heat type anus eczema can not only relieve anus pruritus degree and anus moist feeling of patients but also improve skin damage form and shrink the skin damage area. So it reduces the recurrence rate of this disease effectively and provides new thinking and method for the treatment of perianal eczema.
