| Objective To study the correlation between the expression of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2)and △NP63 with clinical pathological features in patients with bladder urothelial carcinoma. Methods The expression of HER-2 and △NP63 of 58 cases of bladder carcinoma and10 cases of normal bladder mucosa were detected in IHC method. The relationship between protein expression and clinical pathological features was statistically analyzed.Results1.The expression of HER-2,△NP63 in bladder carcinoma were significantly higher than normal bladder mucosa(60.3% vs 86.2%),the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).2.The expression rates and intensity of HER-2 were associated with pathologic grade and clinical stages(p<0.05).In addition, the expression intensity of △NP63 increased gradually with higher pathologic grade(p<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the expression intensity of △NP63 in different clinical stages(p>0.05).3.There was a positive correlation between the expression rates of HER-2 and△NP63(p<0.05).On the other hand, there was no significant correlation among age, sex, size and count(p>0.05).Conclusion The overexpression of HER-2 and △NP63 might play a certain role in the course of the genesis and development of bladder carcinoma, and using combined detection may help to estimate the clinical stage of bladder urothelial carcinoma. |
