| Background: Carcinoma of Bladder is a common human malignant tumor, which makes up 3% of all the malignant tumor. Its disease rate takes the first place in the system urogenitale tumors. What's more, its recurrence rate reaches 55%-85%. Because of this, the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the bladder carcinoma are paid enough attention. In recent years, with profound research on the ontogenesis of bladder carcinoma, a large number of tumor markers were found successively which can be applied to the prognosis of the bladder carcinoma, but almost no any solo marks is applied to the clinical use.Objective:To evaluate the immunohistochemistry expressions ofΔNp63, Ki-67, VEGF in the transitional cell carcinoma of bladder and the relationship between the expressions ofΔNp63, Ki-67, VEGF and the pathological stage, grade and prognosis of bladder cancer.Methods:To interview 56 cases with complete clinical data selected from the year of 2006 to 2007, whose bladder transitional cell carcinoma was confirmed by surgery; To detect the expressions ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF on these pathological sections by immunohistochemical staining. The immunoassay results were analyzed in relation to the tumor stage, grade and compared them with the clinical parameters of prognosis.Results:1. Among 56 sample cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma, the expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF respectively are 50.00%,28.57%,51.79%,but in the cell of normal bladder mucous membrane respectively are 8.33%, 0%, 0%, the expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF are higher than the cell of normal bladder mucous membrane; the expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF in the low-grade respectively are 40.54%,18.92%,40.54% ; The expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF in the high-grade are 68.42%,47.37%,73.68%;The expressions of the superficial TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF are 37.50%,12.50%,37.50%;The expressions of the invasive TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF are 66.67%,50.00%,70.83%. The results show that the expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF in the poorly differentiated and invasive TCCB are significantly higher than the well differentiated and superficial TCCB. The expression difference of the three marker between the pathology grade and clinical stage have statistical significance. There are 26 cases recurred among the 56 cases, the expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF in the recurred cases is much higher than the primary cases(P<0.05). To compare and analyze three markers expression in the bladder cancer by using Spearman rank correlation,ΔNp63 and Ki-67,ΔNp63 and VEGF,Ki-67 and VEGF showed positive correlation, rs′is respectely 0.316,0.322,0.339,rank correlation have statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusions:Abnormal expressions ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF are obviously correlated with the pathological stage and grade of bladder cancer. The expression difference of the three marker between the pathology grade and clinical stage have statistical significance. The expressions of TCC-positive rate ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF in the recurred cases is much higher than the primary cases, it show Abnormal expressions ofΔNp63, Ki-67 and VEGF are obviously correlated with the prognosis of the bladder cancer. The combined evaluation ofΔNp63, P53, Ki-67 and VEGF can give a better judgment on prognosis of bladder cancer. |
