Objective : To analyze the value of neutrophils/lymphocytes ratio(NLR)on predicting the long-term mortality of patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)by meta-analysis.Methods : Both English and Chinese databases, including PubMed,Elsevier,Ebsco,Web of science,Wanfang database,CNKI database,VIP database, from their reception to February 2017 were searched to identify studies that reported relationship between NLR and the long-term mortality of patients with acute STEMI undergoing primary PCI.A standardized form and stata 12.0 software were used to extract information, and perform analysis. Results :10 clinical trials were included in this meta-analysis.The risks of long-term mortality(HR2.379,95%CI:2.035-2.782,P<0.001)were significantly higher in patients with high NLR compared patients with low NLR.After adjusting for other factors, the risks of long-term mortality(HR2.405,95%CI:1.862-3.106,P<0.001)were significantly higher in patients with high NLR compared patients with low NLR,too. Conclusions:Result from this meta-analysis show that the NLR could predict long-term mortality in patients with acute STEMI undergoing primary PCI.This finding needs to be validated by large-scale clinical trials in the future.
