Objective:With little adverse reactions,TGP has definite immunosuppression and anti-inflammation functions. As conditions of psoriasis patients with poor basal status cannot be controlled,it is inappropriate for them to conduct topical remedy for external use while systemic drug therapy is also not suitable. In consequence,TGP is a better choice. This experiment values curative effects and adverse reactions of TGP in treating psoriasis vulgaris and provides new research orientation on pathogenesis of psoriasis vulgaris.Methods:44 cases were selected according to inclusion criteria in September 2015-April 2016.All patients were given informed consent.By applying random number table method, patients were divided into the treatment group(n=22)and the control group(n=22).Group A were treated with TGP 1.2g/d plus Urea Ointment.Group B were treated with TGP 1.8g/d plus Urea Ointment.Group C were treated with tripterygium wilfordii 1.5mg/Kg/d and Urea Ointment while group D were treated with Urea Ointment alone.Follow up visits were taken at the first visit and after1,2,4 and 6 weeks of treatment.PASI was performed.ELASA was employed to test the contents of IL-2,IL-8,IL-10,INF-? and TNF-? in peripheral blood and adverse reactions were carefully recorded. Results:Clinical trial was conducted on patients with psoriasis vulgaris who had been divided into treatment group and control group with each group including 22 cases, respectively. All patients finished 6 weeks' therapy. The effective rates of the two treatment groups were 55.6% and 40%,respectively while the rates of the control group C and the treatment group D were 77.8% and 22.2%,respectively.The curative effects of the treatment group were worse than the control group C and their differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).The curative effect of the control group was obviously better than that of the control group D and their differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).The curative effects of group A and B were approximately the same without any statistical significance(p > 0.05).the concentration of IL-2,INF-? and TNF-? changes have statistical difference(p<0.05)in the control group C.All the patients had adverse reactions such as influenza which was the most common one, diarrhea, hypocytosis,Abnormal Liver Function and loss of appetite.Further study should be conducted to explore their correlation. Conclusions:As a traditional medicine,TGP has more definite curative effects in treating psoriasis vulgaris.Compared with Tripterygium wilfordii, the effective rate of TGP was statistically significant. With mild adverse reactions and versatile application,TGP deserves further clinical study and practice.
