ObjectiveTo explore the influencing factors of osteoporosis among elderly people in Jinzhou region,so as to provide basis and strategy for osteoporosis prevention and treatment.MethodsA non matched case-control study was conducted in November 2015 to May 2016.Cases(n=195)were above 60 years elderly people diagnosed with osteoporosis who were applied for bone mineral density detection in first hospital affiliated of Jinzhou Medical University,and controls(n=242)were above 60 years elderly people diagnosed with bone mass loss and bone mass normal in the same hospital and period.Self-designed questionnaire investigation were performed to all objects.For single-factor analysis t test and?~2test or wilcoxon rank sum test were adopted,while unconditional multiple logistic regression model was used for multiple-factor analysis.Results1.The results of single-factor analysis showed that the two groups had statistically significant differences in age(t=-5.79,P=0.000),body mass index(t=3.41,P=0.001),gender(?~2=8.78,P=0.003),nationality(?~2=5.96,P=0.015),smoking(?~2=6.39,P=0.012),drinking(?~2=10.08,P=0.002),physical exercise(?~2=9.59,P=0.002),intake of Sodium Glutamate(?~2=11.41,P=0.001),intake of diary products(?~2=12.52,P=0.000),Calcium supplementation(?~2=7.76,P=0.005),vitamin D supplementation(?~2=6.81,P=0.009),educational attainments(Z=-2.50,P=0.012),drinking frequencies(Z=-2.39,P=0.017),every exercise time(Z=-3.88,P=0.000),Calcium supplementation frequencies(Z=-2.16,P=0.031),diary products intake time(Z=-2.11,P=0.035)and seafood intake frequencies(Z=-2.51,P=0.012).2.After adjustment for some potential confounding factors,unconditional multiple logistic regression analysis indicated that age(OR=1.094,95%CI=1.052~1.137),gender(OR=3.069,95%CI=1.800~5.234),smoking(OR=1.729,95% CI=1.009~2.964),drinking(OR=2.044,95% CI=1.067~3.917)and intake of Sodium Glutamate(OR=1.676,95% CI=1.040~2.701)were the risk factors of osteoporosis.Every exercise time(OR=0.809,95%CI=0.659~0.995),vitamin D supplementation(OR=0.524,95% CI=0.294~0.935)and seafood intake frequencies(OR=0.779,95% CI=0.644~0.942)were the protective factors of it.ConclusionsAge increasing,female,smoking,drinking and intake of Sodium Glutamate are the important risk factors of osteoporosis in Jinzhou region.Besides,appropriate to participate in physical exercise,vitamin D supplements and intake of seafood adequately is helpful to the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in the elderly. |
