Objective:To investigate the prevalence, related factors and dietary intake of osteoporosis in residents over 50 years old in Urumqi, and to explore the relationship between osteoporosis and dietary and other related factors in residents over 50 years old in Urumqi. Methods: From July 2018 to January 2019,Kazwan Community Health Service Center,Midong Urumqi, conducted a survey of resident residents aged 50 and over who came for a physical examination, and a total of 630 respondents were included.Health related behavior and dietary intake were investigated by health related behavior questionnaire and food frequency questionnaire. The calcaneal bone mineral density was measured by OsteoPro Smart(made in Korean)ultrasound bone densitometer. The dietary pattern was established by factor analysis. The differences of bone mineral density and prevalence of osteoporosis in different health related behaviors and dietary patterns were compared by variance analysis and chi-square test. The relationship between osteoporosis and diet and other related factors was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results:The prevalence of osteoporosis was 19.6% in this study population. The prevalence of osteoporosis in males(25.5%)was higher than that in females(16.7%).The prevalence of osteoporosis in people aged 60~70(22.9%)and over 70(25.7%)were higher than that in people aged 50-60(12.5%)(P < 0.05).The prevalence of osteoporosis in normal weight group(18.0%)and overweight group(15.0%)was lower than that in low weight group(70%)(P < 0.05).The prevalence of osteoporosis in regular drinkers(38.5%)was higher than that in non-drinkers(18.6%)and occasional drinkers(19.6%)(P < 0.05).The intake of legumes and their products in Osteopenia(39.82±34.84g/d)and osteoporotic groups(33.23±27.03g/d)was lower than that in normal group(46.58±38.85g/d)(P < 0.05).The intake of salt in osteopenia(7.31±4.42g/d)and osteoporotic groups(6.69±3.84g/d)washigher than that in normal group(5.98±3.08g/d).(P < 0.05).The main dietary patterns of the survey population included four dietary patterns:coarse-grains potatoes fruits vegetables dietary pattern;mushroom-algae meat fish-shrimp dietary pattern;dairy nut dietary pattern;dairy nut dietary pattern. The prevalence of osteoporosis in dairy nut dietary pattern(12.5%)was lower than that in oil-salt dietary pattern(23.9%)and mushroom-algae meat fish-shrimp dietary pattern(25.2%).After adjusting for sex and age, multivariate logistic regression showed that low weight, obesity and frequent drinking were risk factors for osteoporosis. The risk of osteoporosis in low weight group was 8.676 times higher than that in normal weight group(OR: 8.676,95%CI: 2.006~37.515,P <0.05).The risk of osteoporosis in obesity group was1.889 times higher than that in normal weight group(OR: 1.889,95%CI: 1.047~3.322,P < 0.05).The risk of osteoporosis in the regular drinkers was 2.915 times higher than that in the non-alcohol(OR: 2.915,95% CI:1.184~7.178,P < 0.05).The dairy nut dietary pattern was a protective factor for osteoporosis, and the risk of osteoporosis in the high-score(Q3)group was 0.572 times higher than that in the low-grade(Q1)group(OR: 0.572,95%CI: 0.339~0.965,P <0.05).Conclusion:The prevalence of osteoporosis in residents over 50 years old in Urumqi is not optimistic.Health education and publicity on osteoporosis should be strengthened and awareness of prevention and treatment should be improved. It is suggested that the middle-aged and the elderly should maintain reasonable weight, drink less or not, take in milk, eat nuts and dried fruits properly, balance diet, reasonable nutrition, prevent and cure osteoporosis and promote bone health.
