The Clinical Study Of Tanbo-Plucking Nian-Twisting Nie-Pinching Rou-Kneading Qianla-Extending Tuina Therapy For Infantile Muscular Torticollis

1 Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tanbo-plucking Nian-twisting Nie-pinching Rou-kneading Qianla-extending tuina therapy for infantile muscular torticollis,compared with traditional tuina therapy,and to evaluate the advantage of Tanbo-plucking Nian-pinching Rou-kneading Qianla-extending tuina therapy,providing information for setting standard and unified tuina therapeutic schedule.2 Methods: A total of 80 cases who met the inclusion criteria were randomly allocated into an observation group and a control group.Cases in the control group were treated with optimized tuina therapy including Tanbo-plucking Nian-pinching Rou-kneading Qianla-extending manipulations,whereas cases in the observation group were treated with traditional tuina therapy.Cases in both groups were treated six times a week,one month for a course of treatment.The clinical effects and the changes of diameter of lump and symptoms integrals were observed after three to four courses,dealed with statistic analysis.3 Results:(1)Total curative effect: The recovery and marked effect rate in the observation group was 95%,versus 77.5% in the control group,showing a significant difference(P<0.01),indicating that total curative effect of optimized tuina therapy is much better than that of traditional tuina therapy.(2)Diameter of lump: The diameter of lump in the observation group before treatment was 11.61±2.99,versus 7.31±1.19 after treatment,whereas the diameter of lump in the control group before treatment was 10.66±2.56,versus 8.19±1.56 after treatment.The diameter of lump in the observation group after treatment was 7.31±1.19,versus that in the control group after treatment was 8.19±1.56,showing a significant difference(P<0.01),indicating that optimized tuina therapy can shrink the diameter of lump much better than traditional tuina therapy.(3)Symptoms integrals: The comparison of symptoms integrals including rotation of cervical vertebra,laterodeviation of cervical vertebra,deflection of head,degree of craniofacial deformity,hardness of lump and aesthetic subjective judgement after treatment between observation group and control group showed a significant difference(P<0.01),indicating that optimized tuina therapy can improve symptoms integrals much better than traditional tuina therapy.(4)Age:The comparison of curative effect of different age brackets(<3months,3-6months and 6-12months)in observation group showed a significant difference(P<0.01),indicating that total curative effect is correlated with age.And the smaller age is,the better the total effect is.(5)Location of lump:The comparison of curative effect of different locations of lump(partial upper middle section and partial lower middle section)in observation group showed a difference(P<0.05),indicating that total curative effect is correlated with the location of lump.And the upper the lump is,the better the total effect is.4 Conclusion:(1)The total curative effect of optimized tuina therapy is much better than that of traditional tuina therapy.(2)Optimized tuina therapy can shrink the diameter of lump much better than traditional tuina therapy.(3)Optimized tuina therapy can improve symptoms integrals much better than traditional tuina therapy.(4)The total curative effect is correlated with age.And the smaller age is,the better the total effect is.(5)The total curative effect is correlated with the location of lump.And the upper the lump is,the better the total effect is.
