Discussion On The Compatibility Of The Prescription For Treating Gastrointestinal Cancer With The Tonic Drugs

Objective:To investigate the pathomechanism of healthy qi during the process of malignant tumor onset,summarize the modern literatures of prescriptions which including the tonic medicines treated clinical tumor and analyze the compatible application methods of the tonic medicines.Therefore,it can provide the reference to treat the malignant tumor with traditional Chinese medicine clinically.Methods:The tonic medicines were collected from the prescriptions treated malignant tumor which were in the CNKI,Wanfang Data and VIP database.After the data processing,the prescription names,syndrome patterns,compatible medicines,tumor names,clinical pathological stage and treatment methods were recorded into the Excel 2003 and the database was established.Later,the frequencies and rates of tonic medicines from different tumor,clinical pathological stage and treatment methods were calculated by statistical software as SPASS 16.0.Results:There were total 554 prescriptions which were consistent with the criteria.The statistical results had revealed that there were 49 tonic medicines.Of those tonic medicines,the qi-tonifying drugs were applied mostly with the percentage of 57.2%,then yin-tonifying drugs(20.9%),blood-tonifying drugs(16.4%)and yang-tonifying drugs(5.5%).For the prescriptions treated gastric cancer,pulmonary cancer,hepatic cancer and colorectal cancer,there were most of qi-tonifying drugs.For the tonic medicines treated gastric cancer and colorectal cancer,the usage frequency from the high rate to low rate was the qi-tonifying drugs,the blood-replenishing drugs,the yin-tonifying drugs and the yang-tonifying drugs.For the application of tonic medicines in different pathological stages,there were most of the qi-tonifying drugs and least of the yang-tonifying drugs.The increased frequencies of the yin-tonifying drugs were obviously revealed in the stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ.The specific drugs(most high usage frequency)of the qi-tonifying drugs were Baizhu,Huangqi,Dangshen and Gancao;and the Baishao and Danggui for the blood-replenishing drugs.The collection results of prescriptions derived from the modified set prescriptions had revealed the most frequency of Sijunzi Decoction and its similar decoctions(18.35%),and then Chaihu Shugan Powder(4.1%),Erchen Decoction(4.1%),Shashen Maidong Decoction(4.1%),Xiaoyao Poeder(4.1%),Shiquan Dabu Decoction(3.7%),Shixiao powder(3.7%),and Baihe Gujin Decoction(3.4%).The prescription composition treated the malignant tumors included the tonic medicines were heat-clearing drugs(15.6%),damp-clearing drugs(9.1%),antitussive and antiasthmatic drugs(8.6%),blood-activating and stasis-eliminating drugs(8.3%),qi-regulating drugs(7.4%),and digestant drugs(3.5%).Conclusions:The deficiency of healthy qi is the basic pathogenesis for the formation of malignant tumors due to the excessive pathogen of carcinomatous toxin gathered into the abdominal mass.The key factor for relapsing-progressive malignant tumor is the spread of internal carcinomatous toxin because of the pathogenic qi triumphing over the healthy qi.And the strengthening and consolidating body resistance is one of the important methods.Meanwhile,the applications of tonic medicines are existing in the whole course of comprehensive treatment for malignant tumor.In the early stage there was the domination of excessive pathogen.For treating of malignant tumor,the tonics were centered on qi-tonifying effect overall.And according to the different pathological viscera,the pathologic stages and the therapeutic regimens,the determination of tonifying deficiency and draining excess,the choice of proper tonic medicines,and the compatibility of reasonable medicines for eliminating pathogens will be carried out in the clinical treatment.Especially,during the treatment,the physiological property of viscera shall be focused.And the targeted prescriptions and medications were needed to be administrated in order to achieve the expected goal.
