Objective:To explore the clinical advantages and application value of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of diabetes mellitus, the clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of diabetic lower extremity pain was further based on the clinical observation of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy in the treatment of diabetes mellitus patients with basic pain. Methods:All the cases were collected from Nanjing Xianlin Community Health Service Center. After screening,60 patients who were included in the inclusion/exclusion criteria were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The two groups were based on basic hypoglycemic therapy, the experimental group received acupuncture treatment, the control group daily oral administration of mecobalamin tablets, treatment for 60 days. The patients were followed up for 30 days and 60 days after treatment. The patients were examined and recorded by VAS score and TCSS score, and the clinical curative effect was compared.Results:1.There were significant differences between the two groups in the VAS score of lower extremity pain in DPN patients(P<0.05 or P<0.01).With the prolongation of treatment time, the VAS score of the acupuncture group was improved better than that of the control group, and it was significant at 60 days(P<0.01)2.(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was significant difference between the two groups in reducing the TCSS score of the lower limbs of DPN patients(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Compared with the control group, the onset time and score of the acupuncture group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).With the prolongation of the course of treatment, the TCSS score was always decreased and the acupuncture group was significantly better than the control group.3.Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of acupuncture group was more than that of the control group, but the difference was not significant, and the effect of acupuncture group was not significantly better than that of the control group. Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment can significantly improve the pain and symptom score of lower extremity pain in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and the intervention effect of acupuncture treatment can be observed with the increase of course of treatment.
