The Prognostic Factors Were Analyzed In Surgical Patients With Colorectal Cancer In Different Nationalities

Objective: To explore the clinical pathological characteristics of colorectal cancer patients in different nationalities and the prognostic ralationship between nationality,body mass index and perioperative blood transfusion in colorectal cancer.Methods: Clinical data of 519 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent operation in the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2010 to December 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.Using Kaplan-Meier method to estimate survival rate and draw survival curves.To analyze the survival differences between treatment,stages,gender and pathological types by Log-rank test.Multivariate analysis was conductrd with Cox regression to analyze the prognosis factors.Result: Compared with Han people,Uygur,Kazak,Hui people had younger age with colorectal cancer(P=0.004).Survival rate is related to blood transfusion.The survival rate in Lymph node metastasis group with blood transfusion was lower than no Lymph node metastasis group(P=0.028).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that nationality,tumor location,treatment after operation,TNM stage,surgical options and postoperative metastasis were the independent prognostic factors of colorectal cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion: The other nationalities colorectal cancer are associated with significantly younger age,later stages and significantly worse prognosis than Han patients.Nationality is the main independent prognostic factor of colorectal cancer,prioperative blood transfusion is the negative factor.There is no significant association between BMI and prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.
