Clinical Observation Of Modified Huanglian Wendan Longmu Decoction In Treating Elderly Patients Insomnia(the Type Of Phlegm Heat Disturbing Heart)

Objective:To observation on the clinical efficacy of modified Huanglian Wendan Longmu decoction in treating elderly patients Insomnia with the type of phlegm heat disturbing heart.Methods:The subjects of this study were from December 2015 to December 2016 in Yunnan Province Chinese medicine hospital outpatient and inpatient treatment of 80 elderly patients with insomnia.They were randomly divided into treatment group(n=40)and control group(n=40),the treatment group oral Chinese herbal medicine flavored modified Huanglian Wendan Longmu decoction and the control group was treated with Estazolam tablets.Two groups all treatment for 3 weeks and followed fo 3weeks after stopping treatment.Medication 3 weeks and 3 weeks after discontinuation of the evaluation within two groups and each group between groups the changes of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)? TCM syndrome table and Daytime dysfunction scale.Results:(1)During the treatment,2 patients were lost due to loss of contact,no consultation and other reasons,2 patients were excluded from taking the medicine after stopping the drug,including 2 cases in the treatment group and 2 cases in the control group.(2)After statistical analysis patients in the treatment group after treatment and after treatment discontinuation with long-term follow-up,in terms of PSQI sleep quality,the quality of sleep,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbance,daytime dysfunction improvement are better than the control group,the difference was statisticallysignificant(P<0.05);in terms of TCM syndrome,treatment group can effectively improve the TCM syndrome and the effect is better than the control group,especially to improve the other simultaneous symptoms,P<0.05;in terms of daytime dysfunction,treatment group can improve and reduce daytime dysfunction and the effect was significantly better than the control group,P<0.05.(3)After statistical analysis,in terms of the overall clinical efficacy,after treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was 92.11% and the control group was 89.47%,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),after treatment discontinuation,the total effective rate of treatment group was 84.21% and the control group was 71.05%,P<0.01.In terms of PSQI sleep quality efficacy,after treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was 86.84% and the control group was71.05%,P<0.01,after treatment discontinuation,the total effective rate of treatment group was 76.32% and the control group was 55.26%,P<0.05;.In terms of TCM syndrome,after treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was 94.74% and the control group was 73.68%,P<0.05,after treatment discontinuation,the total effective rate of treatment group was 82.21% and the control group was57.89%,P<0.01.Conclusion:Modified Huanglian Wendan Longwu Decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of elderly patients with phlegm heat disturbing heart Insomnia,the improvement of sleep quality and TCM syndromes in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group after treatment and after treatment discontinuation with long-term follow-up,especially in TCM syndrome improvement was significantly,and the treatment group can significantly improve and reduce the occurrence of daytime dysfunction at the same time.Chinese medicine dialectical treatment of elderly patients with the type of phlegm heat disturbing heart insomnia with higher safety and medication no significant adverse reactions after stopping.It's worthy of clinical promotion.
