Objective: To observe the clinical effect of treating pediatric adenoidal hypertrophy wind-heat invading lung by Xintong Granule and evaluate its effectiveness.Meanwhile,to observe whether adverse reaction emerges in taking this medicine and preliminarily evaluate the safety of this method.Methods: 72 patient meeting incorporation standards were selected and divided into observation group and control group equally based on random single blinding method.Both of the two groups received treatment for 15 successive days,where the observation group took Xintong Granule while control group adopted mometasone furoate nose spray for external use.Comprehensively evaluated the variation of symptom,physical sign and auxiliary examination of child patients in two groups before and after treatment,and implemented statistical analysis so as to evaluate clinical effect.Results: Among the 72 selected patients,12 cases(being eliminated or fell off)failed to be incorporated into final research;the differences of various data of patients in two groups before experiment were not statistically significant,which carried comparability and could start clinical research.(1)The symptom integrals of child patients in two groups after 15 successive days' treatment were lower than that before treatment,the difference of integrals before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),which indicated that,the treatment to observation group and control group was effective;(2)the total effective rates of observation group and control group respectively were 90 % and 70 %,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),which indicated that,the total effective rate of observation group was superior to that of control group;(3)the total integral of symptom,major integral and secondary integral in observation group after treatment were lower thanthat of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),which indicated that,in terms of general symptom,major symptom and secondary symptom,the curative effect of observation group was superior to that of control group;(4)After treatment,the differences of single integral in snore,mouth breathing,rhinobyon,pharynx foreign body sensation,hyperplasia lymph follicle in posterior pharyngeal wall and dry stool of child patients in two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),which indicated that,the curative effect of observation group in improving snore,mouth breathing,rhinobyon,pharynx foreign body sensation,hyperplasia lymph follicle in posterior pharyngeal wall and dry stool was superior to that in control group;(5)after treatment,the difference of single integral of antiadoncus in two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05),which indicated that,the curative effect in improving antiadoncus was equal;(6)no adverse reaction occurred in child patients in either of the groups.Conclusions: The clinical research on treating pediatric adenoidal hypertrophy wind-heat invading lung by Xintong Granule indicates that,this method takes effect in treating pediatric adenoidal hypertrophy wind-heat invading lung without adverse reaction;it is safe and effective when taking orally and is worth further generalization.
