| Objective:To verify the efficacy and safety of xiaoerxuanfei syrup on treating children’s cough syndrome which is caused by wind-heat invading lung.Methods:96child cases, who suffered the cough caused by wind-heat invading lung, were determined to be the age-subgroups and divided into three groups randomly:32cases in tested-group.32cases.in small-dose group and control group with32cases (16cases with1～3years old patients.12cases with4-6years old patients,4cases with7～14years old patients). According to the age and the actual situation of the four groups, these patients were given xiaoerxuanfei syrup, containing10%active ingredients of xiaoerxuanfei syrup and jizhi syrup. After the treatment lasted seven days. we compared the preceding treatment to the subsequent effect, including comparing the tested-group itself and comparing it with small-dose group, positive-drug control group in the primary symptom curative effect and syndrome curative effect, which is to make an evaluation on the safety and effectiveness of xiaoerxuanfei syrup on treating children’s cough caused by wind-heat invading lung.Results:1.There were no statistical significance on gender (P>0.05). age and disease-duration among the three groups.2.By treating children with xiaoerxuanfei syrup for three times, the accumulate points of the same symptom was on the downward t:>nd.which suggests that the symptom were gradually relieved with the increase of medication.3.①On the curative effect of primary symptom cough:the total effective rate of the tested-group was87.5%:the small-dose group was37.5%: the rate of the positive drug control group was59.38%. The comparison on the effective rate of the three groups had the statistical significance, suggesting that the tested-group was superior to the low-dose group and the positive drug control group on primary symptom cough curation effective rate.②On the phlegm:To the tested-group. the total effective rate was84.38%.:To the small-dose group, the rate was43.75%.:To the control group, the rate was65.63%. The comparison on the effective rate of the three groups had statistical significance, suggesting that the tested-group was superior to the small-dose group and the positive drug control group on primary symptom cough up phlegm curation effective rate.4.On the effect:To the tested-group. the total effective rate was93.75%; To the small-dose group, the rate was53.13%; To the positive drug control group, the rate was71.88%, which shows that there was statistical significance in the three groups, and the tested-group was superior to the low-dose group and the control group on syndrome effect. By making a scientific observation of safety, there was no obvious toxic and side-effect.Conclusion:Xiaoerxuanfei syrup is effective on treating children cough syndrome caused by wind-heat invading lung. and the clinical application shows that it is safe. |
