The Marital Quality And Their Influenced Factors Study For Women Before Assisted Reproductive Technology

ObjectivesThe goals of this study were to investigate the women's marital quality who managed to conceive with the assisted reproductive technologies(ART),and to explore the possible related factors.In order to set down the targeted comprehensive nusing interventions for women during ART treatments in the future,and strengthen the understandings and supports that come from society or their family,thereby improving the marital quality of couples with ART and decreasing their negative emotions.As well as to improve their ability to cope with stress.This study may provide further decision-making basis for improving the effect of the ART treatment.MethodsIn our study we selected 209 cases of women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies treatment who was eligible for the inclusion and exclusion criteria randomly in a specialist hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Henan province during the June 2015 to June 2016.We used questionnaires such as the general information,the marriage quality questionnaire(Olson),the Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS)and the Trait Coping Style Questionnaire(TCSQ)to obtain related indicators of every studying object.Data were analysed statistically using the SPSS17.0.The statistical description,ANOVA,the correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were performed in our study.Results1.In our survey we totally gave out 215 questionnaires and all of them were recalled,the recovery rate is 100% and in these questionnaires there were 209 effective ones,the effective recovery is 97.2%.2.The scores for their marriage quality range(229 to 392),which average is(327.22±29.98).The scores for their satisfaction with marriage is(29.42±4.30),the compatible of personality is(29.90±5.48),the communication between couple is(28.44±4.73),conflict resolution is(27.73±4.74),economic arrangements is(28.21±4.71),leisure-time activities is(27.68±5.19),sexual life is(28.22±4.80),the score of children and marriage is(29.62±4.24),the score of relationships of family and friends is(30.85±4.76),these scores are significantly different from the general model(P<0.01);the score of equality of their role and the belief congruence are(27.81±5.13)and(39.84±3.50).3.The results of ANOVA: The marriage quality of women undergoing ART treatment with different demographic data showed that there is significant difference in the age,level of education,family income and place of residence(P<0.01).However the marriage quality of women undergoing ART treatment with different disease characteristics showed that significant difference in children count,the source of family stress,times of treatment,the cause of infertility,the diagnosis of infertility(P<0.01).4.In our study,these women's scores of PSSS,family support,friends support,other support,and positive coping,negative coping are(64.32±7.94),(21.06±4.22),(22.95±4.21),(20.31±3.07),(29.13±6.55),(27.03±5.95).Results of correlated analysis showed the marriage quality of women with ART treatment is positively correlation with the PSSS,every kind of support,positive coping,and is negatively correlation with negative coping.The difference is significant(P<0.01).5.According to the results of multiple linear regression analysis,we took those variable which was significant correlated with marriage quality in the ANOVA as the independent variable,such as age,level of education,family income,place of residence,children count,the main source of family stress,times of treatment,the cause and diagnosis of infertility,family support,friends support,social support,positive and negative coping.And we took the score of marriage quality as dependent variable.As a result,chidren count,diagnosis of infertility,family support,positive and negative coping entered the regression equation.This equation can predict the score of women's marriage quality who undergoing ART treatment(P<0.01),and explain 72.2% of variation of marriage quality of women with ART treatment.Conclusion1.The marriage quality is lower among women with ART treatment which should arouse the concern of the society.2.The factors relate to the marriage quality of women undergoing ART treatment include positive coping,family support,negative coping,age,place of residence,diagnosis of infertility,friends support and children count.
