The Clinical Research In Treating Hypothyroidism Caused By Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Combined With Depressive State Through Modulating The Liver And Tonifying The Spleen

Purposes:To observe the efficacy and safety of hypothyroidism caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis combined with depressive state by the treatment of modulating the liver and tonifying the spleen,including the patient's clinical symptoms,signs,the influence on thyroid function and depressive state.It also explores its mechanism of action,which provides a theoretical basis for clinical application.Methods:60 cases diagnosed with hypothyroidism caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis combined with depressive state differentiated as syndrome of stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 30 cases each.The two groups were given regular foundation treatment such as restricting high iodine diet,resting regularly,keeping happy mood and Levothyroxine Sodium tablets conventional treatment.In the meantime,the treatment group would be given additional Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).After 12 weeks of the treatment,the changes of both groups of FT3,FT4,TSH,TG-Ab,TM-Ab,SDS scores and TCM symptomes scores before and after the treatment would be observed,and then used statistical software for data analysis.Results:? Clinical curative effect comparison:The effective rate of the treatment group was 83.3%and the effective rate of the control group was 60.0%.By comparing two groups of clinical curative effect,the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).?TCM symptomes scores comparison:Comparing the data before and after the treatment of patients in two groups,TCM symptomes scores were reduced,which implying the improvement on such symptoms(P<0.01).The treatment group in improving languid,depression,epigastric pain,anorexia and constipation were better than that in the control group(P<0.01).?Thyroid function comparison:Comparing the data before and after the treatment,it demonstrated that the levels of FT3 and FT4 in both groups get increased and the levels of TSH get decreased.And significant differences could be found in both groups.(P<0.01).Comparing between groups after the treatment,it showed no significant differences on the levels of TSH,FT3 and FT4(P>0.05).?Thyroid related antibodies comparison:Comparing the data before and after the treatment,the statistically significant differences showed that both groups could reduce TG-Ab and TM-Ab levels(P<0.01).Thyroid related antibodies of the treatment group after treatment reduced more than that of the control group,there were differences between the comparison between groups(P<0.05).?Depression evaluation comparison:Two groups of SDS scores were lower,indicating that depressive state had been improved(P<0.01).Comparing between groups after treatment,there were significant differences(P<0.01),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group.?Security:No significant evidences were found in both group which indicate the existence of symptoms or adverse reactions.Conclusions:The method of modulating the liver and tonifying the spleen can improve the TCM symptomes for hypothyroidism patients caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis combined with depressive state.It also can adjust the thyroid hormone levels,improve the immunological indexes and depressed mood,and control the patient's condition and lower incidence of side effects.
