Objective:Systematic study on the chemical constituents of petrole--um ether Fraction?Chirita linearifolia W.T.Wang?.This work can la--y a foundation for the future activity compounds screening?to reveal the material foundation of its bio-activities?,and further to provide an e--vidence for exploitation and utilization of this medicinal plant.Methods:The crude powder of the whole plant was extracted with ethanol by Low-temperature refluxing to give a total ethanol extract.T--he ethanol extract was suspended in water and extracted by petroleum--ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol subsequently to obtain petroleum eth--er fraction,ethyl acetate fraction,n-butanol and the remaining parts ofwater.The methods of silicagel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20column chromatography and recrystallization,were used to isolate and p--urify chemical constituents from petroleum ether.The spectroscopic me-thods(EI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,DEPT)and physical and chemical tests w ere use-d to identify the structures of the obtained compounds.Results:Twenty compounds were isolated from the ethyl petroleu--mether Fraction?Chirita linearifolia W.T.Wang?.And sixteen of the--m have been identified as 2-methyl-anthraquinone?1?,2-ethyl-anthraquin--one?2?,heptacosanoic acid?3?,?-sitostenone?4?,1-hydroxy-2-methyl-9,10-ant--hraquinone?5?,1-hydroxy-octyl-9,10-anthraquinone?6?,9-octadecenoicacid-2',3'-dihydroxypropyl ester?7?,?R?-7-hydroxy-?-dunnione?8?,1-hydroxy-2-hydr--oxymethy lanthraquinone?9?,vanillic acid?10?,glycerin-docos-anate?11?,dau--costerol?12?,?-D-Glucopyranoside,2-?3,4-dihydroxyphenyl?ethyl,4-[?2E?-3-?4-hy--droxy-3-methoxyphenyl?-2-propenoate]?13?,ursolic acid?14?,sitoster--ol?15?,heitziethanoid A?16?.Conclusion:The above compounds were mainly anthraquinones,gl--ycerides and phenylethanosides:All of compounds were isolated from the plant for the first time.Compound 1,2,3,5,6 and 9 were anthraquin--ones.Compound 7 and 11 were glycerides.Compound 13 was phenyl--hanosides.
