Objective Applying randomized controlled methods, adopting McGill pain questionnaire, cervical spondylotic radieulopathy (CSR) symptom and function assessment scale with objective standard, observing the clinical effect of acupuncture plus point injection therapy and routine acupuncture therapy on CSR, making clear that the advantages of acupuncture plus point injection in the treatment of CSR, providing objective evaluation and guidance for clinical treatment of this disease. Methods 92 patients with CSR were randomly divided into routine acupuncture group and acupuncture plus point injection group. Routine acupuncture treatment group:Taking the wind house, bilateral Fengchi, bilateral corresponding to neck clip ridge cave, affected side of Jian Jing, Tian Zong, Waiguan, Quchi and Houxi. Acupuncture treatment once every other day, three times a week; Acupuncture plus point injection treatment group:routine points acupuncture, along with injection of a corresponding ipsilateral Cervical Jiaji point and a Ashi point in shoulder-neck district. The two groups were treated for two courses, totally 20 times, McGill pain questionnaire before and after treatment, changes of cervical spondylosis symptoms and signs score of CSR and the overall efficacy had been analyzed. Results (1) After treatment, the acupuncture plus point injection group and routine acupuncture group were significantly different from those of the traditional acupuncture group (P<0.01), and the difference was statistically significant. (2)After treatment, the McGill pain score of the acupuncture plus point injection group was significantly higher than that in the routine acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). (3) The score of the CSR symptoms and signs of the patients of the acupuncture plus point injection group were significantly higher than that in the routine acupuncture group (P<0.05). (4) In the two groups before and after the comparison, McGill pain questionnaire, CSR signs score were significantly lower than before treatment, with significant difference (P<0.01). (5) The rate of the acupuncture plus point injection group was significantly higher than that in the routine acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The total effective rate of acupuncture plus point injection group was slightly higher than that of routine acupuncture group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusions (1) Acupuncture plus point injection therapy and routine acupuncture therapy can improve the symptoms of CSR. (2) In the improvement of pain relief, acupuncture plus point injection group was significantly superior to routine acupuncture group. (3)For the improvement of signs, acupuncture plus point injection group was more superior than routine acupuncture group. (4) Acupuncture plus point injection therapy in the treatment of CSR is significantly superior to routine acupuncture group.
