Study Of The Relationship Between Telomere Length In Peripheral White Blood Cells Of Katemine Addicts And TCM Pathological Factors

Objective:To investigate katemine addict in peripheral white blood cells’ telomere length and TCM Pathological factors of relationship,then to reveal the possible mechanism of the influence of ketamine on the physical and the mental health of human beings.Methods:By comparison and analysis of 91 cases of ketamine addicts and 100 cases of healthy subjects.Collectting four diagnostic informations of TCM.Using TCM syndrome elements differentiation to extract pathological factors of TCM.Using the kits from German QIAGEN company to obtain the peripheral white blood cell DNA.Telomere length is measured for using QPCR based measuring technique that has been proved and effective.Result:1.Healthy group and katemine group were aged 19-54 years,and there were no differences between the two groups in genger distribution and age distribution(P>0.05).All participants from Two groups of subjects in the white blood cells telomere length with the age and the genger showed a significant correlation(P<0.05);correction for the age and the genger,the telomere length of katemine group was shorter than that of healthy group.(P<0.05).2.Adjusted for the age and the genger,the telomere length of katemine group and katemine taking years had no significant correlation(P>0.05);Adjusted for the age and the genger,the telomere length of katemine group and katemine using frequency had no significant correlation(P>0.05);Adjusted for the age and the genger,the telomere length of katemine group and the first katemine using time after waking up had no significant correlation(P>0.05).3.The TCM syndrome element distributions of katemine addicts:The liver,kidney,spleen are the main location factors of katemine addicts;The Qi deficienc and the Yang deficiency are the main pathological factors of katemine addicts.4.Adjusted for the age and the genger.There are significant differences between heat,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency and blood deficiency TCM syndromes elements’ telomere length from katemine group and the telomere length of healthy group.And the heat,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency and blood deficiency TCM syndromes elements’telomere length from katemine group was shorter than that of healthy group.The difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Katemine addicts can cause telomere damaged and erode the telomere length in peripheral white blood cells.2.Katemine induced multiple viscera function disorder which can cause organism damage.The liver,kidney,spleen are the main location factors of katemine addicts;The Qi deficiency and the Yang deficiency are the main pathological factors of katemine addicts.3.Katemine addict shortened telomere and it is mainly reflected in heat,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,blood deficiency TCM syndromes elements.then to reveal the possible mechanism of the influence of ketamine on the physical and the mental health of human beings.
