Building Conceptual Model For Motor Function In Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:Use modeling method of domain ontology,build a conceptional model about motor function in traditional Chinese medicine.The research is aimed at consolidating characteristic terms for providing the term supports for further study in traditional Chinese medicine and rehabilitation medicine fields.Method:Use "seven step" to build conceptional model:(1)Consult dictionaries and books the meanings of motor function,study the literature of motor function in traditional Chinese medicine.(2)According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and<International classification of function,disability and health>,build a framework of motor function of conceptional model,then check the frame repeat.(3)Formulate a principle of term extraction,collect concepts and terms from various forms of literature and classify them,systematize all the concepts and terms,defined the concept words,add the attribute to all the concept words.(4)Leam and research the 54 kinds of semantic relations in the Unified Medical Language System,define the semantic relation among the primary class.(5)Verification.Result:(1)The study make an understanding of motor function in traditional Chinese medicine.(2)The study constructs a model of movement function concept under the field of traditional Chinese medicine.We use reference from the function,disability and health international classification to build the top category;set up the specific categories according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.The framework includes five primary classes and 18 secondary classes,including about 5014 numbers of conceptions and 7114 numbers of terminologies.We use reference from the 54 kinds of semantic relations from the integration of medical language system and define our own semantic relations.Conclusion:Movement disorders are related to "Wu Ti ","Zang Fu",main and collateral channels and"Jing Qi Xue Jin Ye".The conceptional model is about motor function in traditional Chinese medicine.It is guided by the concept of function,according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.It has rehabilitation medicine of traditional Chinese medicine characteristics.It recombined the knowledge points in motor function among traditional Chinese medicine.It can lay the foundation for the construction of rehabilitation medicine information.
