Objective Stress urinary incontinence is a common disease in clinical, especially in the middle-aged women. With rising social population aging in our country, the incidence of the disease is on the rise, seriously affecting the normal life of the women both in physical and mental. To investigate the clinical efficacy of moxibustion combined with electrical stimulation and biofeedback in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.Women often think urinary incontinence is a normal phenomenon along with the age growth, ashamed to mention to others, rather than to see a doctor. So exploring an effective and simple method for the prevention and treatment of the disease has a very positive meaning. The purpose of this study is to explore the clinical effect of moxibustion combined pelvic floor functional rehabilitation for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence. Methods One hundred and twenty female patients with mild or moderate stress incontinence were randomly allocated to treatment group(n=60)and control group(n=60.The control group received pelvicfloor rehabilitation(electrical stimulation and biofeedback therapy),once three days,10 times in total. And the treatment group received moxibustion combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation, once the other day,20 times in total. The International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Urinary Incontinence Short Form(ICI-Q-SF)score,perineum strength,Mobility of urethrovesical junction(UVJ-M),Poster urethrovesical angle(PUVA)and the length, width and area of diaphragmatic hiatus was measured in the two groups before and after treatment. And follow-up survey were conducted after 3 months and 6 months. Results After treament, the available indicators of two groups were improved significantly.Compared with the control group, the treatment group in ICI-Q-SF were reduced significantly after treatment and follow-up visit in 3,6 months.Perineum muscle strength with I type improved obviously, while there were no difference between type II.The results showed by three-dimensional ultrasou that the UVJ-M and PUVA both reduced after treatment,follow-up visit in 6 months, but there were no difference in UVJ-M after 6 months. At a resting stage, the length, width and area of DH were reduced significantly after treatment and follow-up visit in 3,6 months. While at a shrinking anus stage, the length and width of DH were reduced, the area of DH has no difference after treatment,at the follow-up visit in 3 months, the length and area of DH were reduced, and at the follow-up visit in 6 months the width and area of DH were reduced. At the aspects of clinical efficacy,it was 96.67%,88.33% and 81.67% of treatment group,The therapeutic efficacy of treatment group was superior to that of control group, and better long-term outcome. Conclusions The two methods can improve urinary continence and reduce urine leakage in the patients, but moxibustion combined with electrical stimulation and biofeedback is more effective than the control groups, and better long-term outcome.
