Objectives:To investigate the status of patients’ radiation protective compliance after 125I seed implantation using self-made questionnaire,SSQ and SSC,to explore the status and the influence factors of protective compliance of the patient with therioma after 125I seed implantation, and to analyze the relationship between patients’ protective compliance and social support,self-efficacy.So as to provide a theoretical foundation for obtaining the strategies of improving the compliance of protection and reducing the risk of radiation hazards to the crowd around from patients with therioma after radioactive 125I seed implantation. Methods:Designing a radioactive protection compliance questionnaire through qualitative interview.Adopting convenience sampling methods was used in this survey, and 151 patients with therioma after radioactive 125I seed implantation were enrolled in from a third-grade class-A hospital in Shandong Province from January 2016 to January 2017.Protection compliance questionnaire,Social Support Rate Scale and Chronic disease self-efficacy questionnaire were administered.t test,Pearson correlation and multiple liner regression were conducted to explore the relationship between radioactive protection compliance, social support and self-efficacy via SPSS 21.Results:1.The mean score of radiation protection compliance of patients with therioma after 125I seeds implantation was(33.48±6.13).The average compliance rate was 76%,and was at a high level. The rate of radiation protection compliance of patients at high level in hospital was 81.5%,and the compliance in home and public areas was 72.2%and 62.9%,hance the protection compliance in public areas remains to be improved.2.The average score of Social support of patients with tumor was(40.83±5.76),indicating a moderate level. The mean scores of subjective support was(23.50±3.51),objective support(10.36±2.07)and support utilization was(6.97±1.59),respectively.3.The mean score of Self-efficacy was(6.42±1.48),indicating a moderate level. The mean scores of two dimensions of Self-efficacy were(4.11±0.98)and(2.56±0.57).84.1%of patients reported a medium self-efficacy level(≥5 score),while 15.9%of patients reported a low self-efficacy level(<5 score).4.Results of ANOVA showed that, the difference between economic conditions, housing style, pain degree and whether provided lead protective clothing or not reached statically significance.5.Pearson correlation revealed that protection compliance were related to Social support andSelf-efficacy(P<0.01).6.Multiple liner regression analysis found that economic condition, housing style, pain degree, whether provided protective clothing or not and Self-efficacy could explain 55.5%variance of radiation protection compliance of the patients.Conclusions1.Patients with tumor after 125I seeds implantation report a high level of radiation protection compliance, but the protection compliance in public areas remains to be improved.2.The influence factors of protective compliance of the patients with tumor after 125I implantation including economic conditions, housing style, pain degree and whether provided lead protective clothing or not.3.Radiation protection compliance was associated with Social support and Self-efficacy.The higher the social support the patient receives, the better the protection compliance be,so as the score of Self-efficacy.4.Some strategies, such as improving the social Support and Self-efficacy,better pain management, encourage self-providing lead garment(especially those living with children or pregnant women in family)etc, should be developed to improve the radiation protection compliance.
