[Objective]To investigate the influencing factors of fatigue and quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients. The correlation between them were also studied.[Methods]The study is characterized by the theory of health management,102 maintenance hemodialysis patients from a level-three hospital in Nanjing area were recruited.Data were collected through questionnaire, the revised Piper fatigue scale(RPFS),and concise health questionnaire SF-36.Laboratory parameters were also collected.Descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were used to analyze the risk factors of fatigue and quality of life and the relationship between them in maintenance hemodialysis patients.[Results]1.The incidence of fatigue in maintenance hemodialysis patients was 78.4%,and the fatigue was in middle level. The total score of fatigue was(3.82 ± 1.97),The score of behavior, emotion, perception and cognition were(3.93±2.43),(3.35±2.04),(4.24±2.38)and(3.78±2.07).Univariate analysis revealed that the fatigue status was associated with age, marital status, family average monthly income, serum calcium and parathyroid hormone(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, serum calcium and the number of weekly dialysis were independent factors affecting fatigue in maintenance hemodialysis patients.2.Scores of quality of life were significantly lower than those of the domestic norm, which were as follows:physiological function(59.74 ± 20.20),role of physical(40.22 ± 31.22),body pain(62.68 ± 20.61),vitality(42.04± 13.43),emotional function(40.63 ± 37.13),mental health(68.43 ± 22.61),social function(62.72±18.95),and overall health(47.23 ± 13.65).Univariate analysis showed that patients' quality of life was significantly correlated with age, vascular access, culture degree, intact parathyroid hormone and fatigue status(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that fatigue status, age and vascular access were independent factors affecting the quality of life in patients with maintenance hemodialysis.3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the dimensions of fatigue were negatively correlated to the quality of life.[Conclusions]1.The fatigue status of the maintenance hemodialysis patients was in middle level,Which was affectde by the age, times of dialysis every week and serum calcium.2.The overall quality of life was at a low level,Which was affectde by the age, fatigue and vascular access.3.Fatigue was negatively correlated to the quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients.4.Medical workers should pay attention to the patient's age, times of dialysis every week, serum calcium and vascular access. They also should construct the intervention model of the impact factors to reduce the fatigue status of patients and improve their quality of life.
