As social capital was supported by government to invest in medical an healthcare,as well as the public hospital reform and development,great changes have taken place in China's healthcare supplies side,operation and management need higher requirement.Non-public hospital have been an important part of China's healthcare,and have got rapid development.At the same time,due to historical and development reasons,most problem have been found in management,especially in performance management.As one of the most important position in the hospital,clinical director play an important role in the strategy,quality,service,process.On the other hand,seldom performance assessment index such as financial indicators of clinical director of the private hospital was applied.The balanced scorecard have been used widely as a performance management and strategy management tool,and achieved good result by transformed the target from the enterprise level to the department and then to the staff.But there were not enough experience in non-public hospital,especially in clinical director.This article make a study of a non-public hospital named S hospital,by defining the hospital strategic target,designing strategic map,building the balanced scorecard indicators of the hospital and clinical directors.My objective is make contribution to the application of balanced scorecards of the hospital.The article is divided into four parts.The first part introduce the research background,topics and methods,as well as the innovation point.The second part includes the second chapter,the third and the fourth chapter,introduce the research and application of the balanced scorecard,domestic situation of hospital performance appraisal,national policy and the related factors.The third part is the case study of the S hospital,based on the balanced scorecard,decomposed strategic target into the performance appraisal of the clinical director.This is the core part of the paper,it described the basic process of the application of the balanced scorecard in non-public hospital,as well as the steps and the contents of the appraisal systems.The fourth part is sixth chapter,the summarized and the conclusion.Based on the literature research and case study,the article analyzed the domestic and abroad condition of the balanced scorecard,combined with the domestic policy and the influence factors,explored the approaches,intended to return to nature of medical.
