Research results show that:First, the resident manner has important influence to our country the elderly health. In general, the old people who live alone are the most health and the old people who live in pension institutions are the worst health. Specifically, physical health and cognitive health of the old people who live alone is best, the old people who live with their children and live with the spouse is better, the old people who live in nursing homes is the worst. Also, the cohort study found that physical health of the old in urban is better than the rural, physical health of the old women is better than men, physical health of the older is better than the old man. cognitive health of the old women is better than men, cognitive health of the older is better than the old man.Second, Medical service utilization as an instrument of public policy implementation, plays an important role in improving the elderly health. This study found that:the physical examination has a significantly positive correlation for cognitive health and physical health; Timely treatment played a significantly positive influence on physical health, cognitive health and self-reported health; And medical expense has a significant negative correlation for physical health, cognitive and self-reported health. Inspection points group also found that, the medical service also has different impacts for different groups.Third, the study also analyzes the way of living can affect health by medical service using mechanism. Results show that the resident manner makes an impact to the health of the elderly by medical service using. In particular, solitary weaken the positive impact on physical health by the physical examination; Pension institutions played a negative regulatory role in cognitive health by physical examination; pension agency weaken the positive impact on cognitive health by the timely treatment; Pension agency weaken the positive influence on cognitive health by the medical expenses; In a word, the study proves that the resident manner influence the old health by medical service.
