Research On Function Department Arrangement For Anshan Hospital Reconstruction And Expansion

A hospital provides a platform to medical personnel and patients. By coordinating with each other, medical personnel take measures or preventative actions to patients. Hospitals have a long history in the formation and development course. Its development is closely connected with macroeconomic, politics, and science. The development of medical science played a decisive role. The development course of hospitals experienced from noting to something, from small to big, from secret to transparent, from simple to complex.In AD 2, there was the earliest recordings about infectious disease in the Book of Former Han. The modern hospital in China was formed around 1850 in the end of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, which was built in Tianjin and was leading by one of the kingdom leaders called Renxuan Hong.In 1949, the hospitals in China were leftover from previous times. In general, there are 2600 hospitals and with 80000 hospital beds and most of them were in largest cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, etc. They were small, messly-arranged, with few functions and simple equipment. The Anshan Hospital mentioned in this article was first built in 1936. At that time, the major functions of hospitals are outpatient services and sickrooms for serious patients. There were very few or small percentage in terms of medical equipment rooms, operating rooms, and medicine rooms. One hospital room can live more than 30 patients. This was a hard to imagine fact in nowadays.After the reform and opening up policy in 1978, the Chinese macro economy grows fast, people's living standard improves a lot, and thus the medical industry must reform and change to accommodate the macro changes. The development of hospital function planning and specialized work units also pushed by reforms in hospital management system, medical care system, hospital service model, etc.In this article, the first two sections introduces the background of medical reform in China, the concepts of hospital, scale of hospitals, function planning, etc. Section 3 introduces the current status of Anshan Hospital, including data analysis and hospital layout. The first half of section 4 introduces the area health through data facts, which provides the foundation for renovation and expansion of Anshan Hospital. The second half of section 4 explains the work concept and solutions to it. Section 5 describes the clean operation sections working model for key specialized work units. This could bring a further explanation to readers on the operation process.This article takes the renovation and expansion of Anshan Hospital as an example to find out the currently available disadvantages, and then propose the reasonable concept and method for the renovation and expansion. This is only the summary of my opinion, which might have limitation due to my limited theories and practical experiences.
