Study The Curative Effect Of Fructus Arctii In Treatment Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Complicated With Pulmonary Hypertension

Objective:This study used Fructus Arctii combined with routine western medicine treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with pulmonary hypertension (PH), and was compared with routine western medicine treatment. Pulmonary artery systolic pressure, 6 minute walking test, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score and inflammation factors were tested to observe the curative effect of Fructus Arctii in treatment of patients with COPD complicated with PH.Method:Sixty patients accorded with the diagnostic standard of COPD complicated with PH were randomly divided into observation group and control group,30 cases in each group. The control group inhaled Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation one suction a time,2 times a day. The observation group based on the control group and added Fructus Arctii,2 times a day, for 8 weeks. Record TCM syndrome score, pulmonary artery systolic pressure, blood routine, liver and renal function, inflammatory factors and 6 minute walking test before and after treatment. Use statistical software for statistical analysis.Result:1. After treatment, the pulmonary artery systolic blood pressure in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant.2. After treatment, the TCM syndrome score and the total effective rate in the observation group were significantly better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant.3. After treatment, the 6 minutes walk test distance in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant.4. After treatment, the inflammatory factors in the observation group were significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant.5. Before and after treatment, the blood routine, liver function, renal function and other indicators in two groups were not statistically significant.Conclusions:The research shows that TCM Fructus Arctii in treatment of COPD complicated with PH can effectively reduce pulmonary artery systolic pressure, improve clinical symptoms, improve the quality of life, and have no adverse reactions. Anti-inflammatory mechanism may play a role and more mechanism should be studied further. The research time is short, so as to collect a small number of cases, large sample multicenter controlled clinical trials should provide more objective evidence.
