The Study Of The Level Of TSGF Among NPC Patients And Potential NPC Patients At High Risk

ObjectiveThis article reports the result of a research study to the nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)patients and potential NPC patients at high risk,whose level of tumor specific growth factor(TSGF).MethodsIn conducting the study I utilized information gathered in the high risk area of NPC,where is in ZhongShan city located in GuangDong province,from thirty-one NPC patients(the number of NPC patients is eight in stage ?,six in stage ?,ten in stage ? and seven in stage ?),and fifty-one potential NPC patients at high risk as the experiment group,and sixty-three healthy volunteers as the control group,All subjects were classified by constitution of Traditional Chinese Medicine,adopting ELISA to test the serum level of TSGF.Results?The serum level of TSGF in the three groups,which are NPC patients,potential NPC patients at high risk situation,and healthy volunteers as control groups,and their corresponding quartile serum level are(73.07,109.86,130.13)IU/ml,(73.93,99.03,123.41)IU/ml,(63.03,82.18,101.45)IU/ml respectively.It was found that the TSGF scores among NPC patients and potential NPC patients at high risks are apparently higher than the healthy volunteers group.Besides,the differences shows its statistical significance.?Among the NPC patients in different stages from ? to ?,their corresponding quartile serum level of TSGF are(68.04,70.99,76.36)IU/ml,(74.38,97.08,132.20)IU/ml,(83.44,125.11,130.59)IU/ml,(109.86,123.12,133.09)IU/ml.The scores of TSGF reveal the increased tendency as being close to stage ?.?There is no obvious distinction among the various categories which is sorted by different constitution of Traditional Chinese Medicine.ConclusionThe scores of TSGF show its growth trend within the NPC patients and potential NPC patients at high risk.
