Objective: Obesity of college students has become a social problem that can not be ignored,even though there are many scholars focus on sports and college students' problem of weight loss,but little research focus on the combination of circadian rhythm and exercise for weight loss.This study mainly discusses the effect of chronoexercise on weight loss in obese college students,so as to provide new method for reasonable exercise to lose weight.Methods: We chose 66 male obese college students who aged 18 to 22 years old and BMI?24 Kg/m2 as the subjects in this study.Subjects were randomly divided into control group(N=22)and exercise group(N=44),then exercise group was randomly divided into the morning group(N=22)and the evening group(N=22).Brisk walking was applied for this study for three months,moderate intensity(heart rate in 130 times/min ~ 150 times/min),3 times/week,60 minutes/time.Morning group exercised at 06:30-07:30,and evening group at 19:00-20:00.During the experiment,we recorded the control and exercise groups of sleep and diet.We measured the subjects' body shape,body composition,blood glucose,blood lipids,blood pressure and heart rate before and after the intervention.Results: 1.Effect of chronoexercise on body shape in obese college students: Compared difference values between before and after exercise,BMI in the morning group was significantly higher than which in the evening group(P < 0.01).Compared with same group before exercise,body weight,BMI and hip circumference were significantly reduced in the morning group(P < 0.05),while no significant change was found in the evening group(P > 0.05),waist circumferences were significantly reduced in morning and evening exercise groups(P < 0.01),WHR was significantly reduced in the evening group(P < 0.01),while no significant change was found in the morning group(P > 0.05).2.Effect of chronoexercise on body composition in obese college students: Compared with difference values between before and after exercise,body fat percentage and body fat mass in the morning group have a significant increased trend(P = 0.171).Compared with same group before exercise,body fat percentage and body fat mass were significantly reduced in the morning group(P < 0.05),while no significant changes were found in the evening group(P > 0.05).3.Effect of chronoexercise on blood glucose and blood lipid in obese college students:Compared with difference values between before and after exercise,there were no significant changes(P > 0.05).Compared with same group before exercise,TG and GLU were significantly changed in the morning group(P < 0.01,P < 0.05),while there were no significant changes in the evening group(P > 0.05),both CHOL and LDL-c were significantly reduced in morning and evening groups(P < 0.01),HDL-c was significantly reduced in the evening group(P < 0.05).4.Effect of chronoexercise on blood pressure and pulse in obese college students: Compared with difference values between before and after exercise,the diastolic blood pressure in the evening group was significantly higher than which in the morning group(P < 0.05).Compared with same group before exercise,the diastolic blood pressure was significantly reduced in the evening group(P < 0.05),while there was no significant change in the morning group(P > 0.05),systolic blood pressure have a significant reduced trend(P=0.068),pulse was significantly unchanged in both morning and evening groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion: Chronoexercise was effective for the weight loss in male obese college students,morning exercise may be better for weight loss.
