Objective:To investigate the significance of serum ferritin, vascular adhesion protein-1 in chronic alcoholism and acute cerebral infarction patients, and to study the changes of neutrophil percentage and red blood cell distribution width in patients. To provide bases for early diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of disease. Methods:Selecting twenty-five patients with chronic alcoholism patients, diagnosis of CCMD-3 modified alcohol-induced mental disorders diagnostic criteria;twenty-five patients with acute cerebral infarction, all patients confirmed by the head MRI with acute infarct lesions;twenty cases in normal control group. The levels of serum ferritin and vascular adhesion protein-1 were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, the neutrophil percentage and the red blood cell distribution width were measured by automatic blood cell analyzer.Result:1.The SF level in patients with chronic alcoholism(294.3±92.5)ng/ml higher than the control group(112.4±64.8)ng/ml,significant difference(P<0.05);the VAP-1 level was(178.9±33.8)ng/ml higher than the control group(111.7±14.1)ng/ml,significant difference(P<0.05);neutrophils percentage(%)57.7 ± 11.1 and normal control group 53.6 ± 3.6,there was no significant difference(P>0.05);red blood cell distribution width(fl)46.4 ± 3.2 higher than the control group 40.6 ± 2.1,significantly different(P<0.05).2.The SF in patients with acute cerebral(347.3±60.3)ng/ml higher than the control group(112.4±64.8)ng/ml,significant difference(P<0.05);VAP-1 levels of(183.3±50.8)ng/ml higher than the control group(111.7±14.1)ng/ml,significant difference(P<0.05);neutrophil percentage(%)61.9 ± 12.9 and normal control group 53.6 ± 3.6,there was a significant difference(P<0.05);red blood cell distribution width(fl)47.3 ± 4.1,higher than the control group 40.6 ± 2.1,significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The rise of SF and VAP-1 levels in patients with chronic alcoholism may be a reference index for the diagnosis of chronic alcoholism,SF,VAP-1 involved in the course of the disease, may be helpful for the treatment of chronic alcoholism.2.The rise of SF and VAP-1 levels in patients with acute cerebral involved in the pathogenesis of acute cerebral infarction,it may have clinical significance in the intervention of acute cerebral infarction.
