Aedes vexans is a pest distributed all over the world,the female suck blood and spread the zoonotic disease.185 area is located in the china-kazakhstan border,and is one of the four major areas around the world which be damaged by mosquit,.Mosquito density could reach up to 1700 per cubic meter in the peak season.Aedes vexans is dominant species in this area.Through the research for 3 months,the larva and adult habitat distribution,diurnal variation,spatial distribution and life history were surveyed and we found the larvae prefer to live in hydrops with shady environment,clear water and depth of water no more than 20 cm.The relative temperature is higher,the growth rate is faster.Through the investigation of the different habitats,the forest belt was the preferable distribution for the adults and two peaks were showed for the day and night activities.1 hours before and after sunrise and 1 hours before and after sunset.Aedes vexans occurr 2 generations a year,the overwintering mosquitos appear in the midmonth of May,the peak period of adults appeared.Aedes vexans occurr 2 generations a year in 185 regiment and overwintering at the gaps of trees or aperture of bridge with adults.The overwintering adults start occurrence in the midmonth of May of the second year.Affected by the temperature,the first generation need 18 to 22days in June and the eggs of second generation start occurrence in first third of a month of July and need 12 to 17 days to develop for adult.Two generations without overlapping and reduce activities in mid to late August and overwintering with adults.Based on the study of the habitat,breeding habits and activity patterns of Aedes vexans,and detailed investigation on the influence of environmental factors on the growth and development of larvae to further understand the existence,regularity and provide the reliable basis and data support for pest control.
