A Clinical Observation In The Treatment Of Functional Dyspepsia (Cold-heat Complicated Syndrome) By Using Wenzhongyangwei Mixture

Objective:In this study, to explore the cruative effect, the recurrence rate, the mechanism and the safety of Wenzhongyangwei Mixture in the treatment of functional dyspepsia, and then provide a evidence for the clinical use and further study by observing the Wenzhongyangwei Mixture (Mianyang City Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine hospital preparation) on functional dyspepsia patients'overall efficacy and clinical symptoms improvement situation.Method:This study selected 60 patients meeting the inclusion criteria in Mianyang City Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine spleen and stomach department outpatient service, randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The treatment group (30 cases) was given Wenzhongyangwei Mixture, while the control group (30 cases) was treated with domperidone (Motilium) and omeprazole enteric-coated capsules. Both groups needed continuous treatment for 4 weeks, and subsequent visit one times a week. During the treatment course the patients of two groups were not allowed to take any other drugs, had moderate work and rest, and avoided drinking coffee and tea, eating fasting spicy stimulation food, chilled and greasy things and so on. The main observation items consisted of such indicators as comprehensive clinical efficacy, TCM symptoms integral and recurrence rate etc. Use SPSS 21.0 software for statistical data points analysis, and make a decide on relevant clinical curative effect.Results:1. Clinical efficacy comparison:the total effective rate of the control group was 79.31%, while the total efficiency of the treatment group was 89.66%. The overall efficacy of the two groups had been taken a rank sum test, the difference between the two groups had no significant (P> 0.05).2. The curative effect of TCM syndrome comparison:(1) Within group:single TCM symptom scores before and after treatment of the treatment group were statistically significant (P< 0.05). While single TCM symptom scores of the control group in the stool loose, exacerbated by exposure to cold, cold limbs, chills were no statistical significance (P> 0.05), but on the rest of the symptoms integral difference had statistical significance (P< 0.05). (2) between the two groups:the TCM symptom scores of both groups after treatment in the epigastric fullness, epigastric pain, mouth pain, dry mouth, loose stool, exacerbated by exposure to cold, cold limbs, chills symptoms on statistical analysis showed that the difference had statistical significance (P< 0.05), especially on the improvement of epigastric fullness discomfort, loose stool, exacerbated by exposure to cold, cold limbs and chills (P< 0.01).3. Recurrence rate comparison:after the end of treatment for 2 months,14 cases recurred in the control group, while 6 cases recurred in the treatment group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant through statistical analysis(P< 0.05).Conclusion:Wenzhongyangwei Mixture was effective in the treatment of FD, and had the same overall effect compared with the domperidone and omeprazole enteric coated capsules group, But the treatment group showed a superiority on the improvement of some clinical symptoms and the decrease of recurrence rate etc than the control group. Wenzhongyangwei Mixture had a significant effect on the treatment of FD, had a reliable safety, and could reduce the recurrence rate. Moreover the way of taking this medication was simple, it was worth further study and clinical practice.
