| Objective:Describing the epidemiological characteristics of measles in Shihezi from2006 to 2015 is helpful to evaluate the measles antibody level of local population.The assessment of the awareness rate of measles prevention of the residents in Shihezi provide the evidence for the relative governmental departments to carry out measles control measures and eliminate measles.Methods : The epidemiological features of measles in Shihezi from 2006 to 2015 were analyzed with using descriptive epidemiological methods.Based on principle of stratified random sampling,we extracted597 healthy people in 3 communities(Xiangyang Street Community,Dongcheng Street Community,and Old Street Community),7 regiment places(Head regiment Place,142 regiment,143 regiment,136 regiment,144 regiment,148 regiment,and 150 regiment)as research subjects to implement the serological test on antibody level of measles.459 residents more than 15 year-old were extracted randomly in stratified random sampling region and questionnaire survey about awareness rate of measles was carried out.Chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test were employed to compare the rate or proportion among the groups.Results:Annual reported measles morbidity in Shihezi is 4.91/100,000 from 2016 to 2015 with periodicity.The two peak periods of morbidity were 2008(26.3/100,000)and 2014(9.07/100,000).The morbidity ratio of male and female was1.64∶1;The peak season was from March to June;Urban measles morbidity(8.32/100,000)was higher than regiment ones(2.10/100,000)(x2=115.113,P<0.01);The measle morbidity of 0 year-old group and 20 year-old group were much higher(49.93/100,000)than that of others.The measles IgG antibody positive rate of 597 healthy people was85.93%;The Geometric Mean Concentration of measles IgG antibody was 1678.47mIU/ml;The protection rate of measles IgG antibody was 52.09%.The measles IgGantibody positive rate of 0 year-old group and 20~39 year-old group were much lower(44.74%、50.48%)than that of others.The protection rates of measles IgG antibody of15 year-old and 10 year-old(18.60%,26.09%)were much lower than that of others.The investigation of 459 people’s awareness of the measles knowledge showed the low correct rate of the questions especially on the following questions,susceptible population of measles,initial immune month ages,and peak seasons.More than 70% population did not have a clear idea of preventive measures,and their acquirement of measles knowledge was mainly from families and friends.Conclusion : Measles morbidity decreases slowly with periodicity.Urban measles morbidity is higher than that of regiment districts.Morbidity mode transferred from high incidence in young age groups to old and adult groups;0 year-old,20year-old,and 39 group are susceptible population,Peak seasons of morbidity are from March to June,but seasonal peak period weakens obviously.The secure immunologic barrier has not established according to the measles antibody level of local population in Shihezi District;Also showed that measles antibody positive rate of people from 20 years old to 39 years old is 89.78%;lots of adults are susceptible to measles.Antibody level of 0 year-old,10 year-old,and 15 year-old group are much lower because of the population with high morbidity risk.Healthy population in Shikezi District has low awareness rate of measles knowledge and preventative measures.The next step should be continued to complete measles vaccine routine immunization of eight months and18 months children,keep 2-dose-measles-vaccination-rates are 95% or more and to improve vaccination timely.We need to assess the accumulation of susceptible persons at high risk,conduct supplementary immunization of school-age children in time;Monitor the epidemic features and guidance timely prevention and control.It’s significant for the measles control to complete the outbreak investigation and disposal,control the scale of epidemic and prevent the spread of measles virus.The infants and adults should be focused on to prevent measles because they are suscepitalbe to the measles virus spreading.The health education needs to be carried out to improve people’s awareness of measles prevention. |
