Objective:To observe clinical curative effects of the spinal stretching bed on patients with chronic low back pain. Methods:During the period from June 1st,2014 to October 31st,2015,80 patients with chronic low back pain were selected from outpatient of orthopedic in rehabilitation hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. According to random figures, these patients were divided into two groups including 40 patients in the experiment group and control group, respectively. Patients in the experiment group were treated with a spinal stretching bed for three times a week and 30min every time. Patients in the control group were treated with traditional chiropractic therapy for three times a week and 30min every time. The observational duration of patients in two groups was a total of 8 weeks. The changes of degree of low back pain (VAS), degree of dysfunction (RMDQ), lordotic angle and surface rotation before and after the experiment in both groups were observed. Finally, SPSS 18.0 software was used to do statistical analysis. Results:After patients were treated for 8 weeks, the changes of degree of low back pain (VAS), degree of dysfunction (RMDQ), lordotic angle and surface rotation for patients with chronic low back pain treated by two methods were compared. VAS of patients in both experiment group and control group was before treatment(6.37±1.50,6.31±1.51) and after treatment(3.34±1.03,2.89±0.93), changes before and after treatment(3.03±1.01,3.43±0.98), respectively. RMDQ of patients was before treatment (15.42±4.36,15.38±4.37), after treatment 10.53±4.28,10.62±3.37), changes before and after treatment(0.89±1.61,0.74±1.38), respectively. Lordotic angle of patients in both groups was before treatment(25.83±4.91, 25.71±4.80)°, after treatment(36.20±3.83,26.20±4.76)°, changes before and after treatment(-10.37±4.63,-0.49±1.04)°, respectively. Surface rotation of patients in both groups was before treatment(9.03±2.70,9.49±2.63)°, after treatment(5.57±1.84,5.69±2.08)°, changes before and after treatment(3.46±1.42,3.80±1.13)°, respectively. According to statistical analysis, VAS and RMDQ in both groups had the significant difference (P<0.05) before and after treatment and had statistical significance, but changes of VAS and RMDQ before and after treatment in both groups had no difference (P>0.05) and had no statistical difference. The improvement degree of abnormal lordotic angle in the experiment group was superior to the control group (P<0.05) and had statistical significance. The improvement degree of abnormal surface rotation in the experiment group had no difference with the control group(P>0.05) and had no statistical significance, but both groups had the significant difference(P<0.05) before and after treatment and had statistical significance. Conclusion:The spinal stretching bed and traditional chiropractic therapy had a good effect on relieving pain and improving waist dysfunction for patients with chronic low back pain. Both curative effects were closed. The curative effects of the spinal stretching bed on lordotic angle were better than traditional chiropractic therapy. The curative effects of them on surface rotation were closed.
